Agreed! The lack of insight during this growth! It's not just about monster buildings and who can put up the biggest house, and a nation's signs of growth and successes are based only upon the number of huge architectures appearing! INFRASTRUCTURE also includes Transportation! And Mass Transit falls under that too! The government is 'okay' with the current status quo regarding Transportation, in this growing environment? No further insight beyond just minibuses? Thank you for your continued efforts Raphael! You literally do all of the "Legwork" for your Online Community!

City engineers and urban planners have to seriously look at areas that can be utilized for public transportation, since it seems the reserved lands are being used for industrial purposes. Small railways can still be considered in some areas of the city. Maybe Silica City is going to be the model whereby railways may be considered.

The reserve land at Roxanne Burnham Gardens use to be a garbage dump back in the 70's and 80's. Maybe if they put any kind of foundation there it wont go well.
@ianbynoe65157 ай бұрын
Not true. Those reserves lands were never garbage dump. You are lying.

@ianbynoe6515 I lived on Critchlow Ave from 1970. From the Shopping Plaza, up until Critchlow Ave, where they HAD the Clay Brick Bridge, during Burnham's era, that place was a garbage dump.

@@PaulYBreen-rc4rm , liar. The only place that was a dump was the multi-school playground. Stop spreading misinformation.

That pedestrian sidewalk with removable drainage slab covers is a new design. Even though the drain is covered by the concrete sidewalk, it is unnecessary to have that many removable covers. The drains can have steel grating where the water enters the drains, to filter out any large debris. As I said previously, the design build tendering process seem to allow the contractor to design the infrastructure components based on his interpretation of design standards. If the owner can adopt and publish Guyana engineering standards for contract specifications that could simplify the process and prevent confusion. AASHTO standards were used in the old days.....

second that, the government all about the investors, the private sector and their pockets, not about the Guyanese ppl, those reserves are there for a reason not for what they doing

Who did that side walk? It’s subpar. The contractor needs to look at his work. It’s not even. This is why I said Guyana will have to import workers from foreign countries else they will spend more money rebuilding. You can’t have in experience people doing these kinds of work.

That's some sloppy job on that sidewalk. They should pull his contract. Terrible work.

Less than 1mil.people. Too much construction going on. Have to import the people with "know how" and have them work along with them, get experience on how to build stuff. The work they are doing locally are so sloppy, not polished at all. From your videos.
