Mike Reid added so much to Eastenders. Frank was one of THE best characters. R.I.P Mike

Nothing like the old days. Frank butcher an absolute gem. Great at arguing and great voice. Miss these days when Enders was strong on acting with great storylines.

This soap took a serious nose dive, the quality of today’s eastenders is poor

I agree, the glory days of Eastenders was the 1980's. Den and Angie. Pete Beale.

Today’s EastEnders is dire, I’ve watched a few episodes and they left me feeling stale and bored

So true. Todays’s Eastenders is VERY poor in comparison of how good it was 20 years ago. I stopped watching it almost 20 yrs ago to the day to be honest

I love 80's Eastenders but my era growing up was the 90's. I idolized the Mitchell brothers and in my opinion the last great era was around 2005 with Johnny Allen, Dennis Rickman, Andy Hunter etc. The only reason I'll catch the odd episode nowadays is because of Phil Mitchell.

Bloody hell Phil used to show people respect back then.... only resorted to his thugish side as a last resort!
@virgilblaze90902 жыл бұрын
The problem is, with all the different writers over the years, Phil's character changed somewhat. The writers were never consistent with how Phil was originally written. Sure, he was always a hard man, but going into the 2000's he went more phycho and that's down to the writing.

@@virgilblaze9090 actually I disagree I think they have always been fairly consistent with Phil's temperament, rarely argues with elderly or women. However when it comes to Frank you could tell he had a deep respect for him as a stalwart to the old east end.

@zachgrace76752 жыл бұрын
Michelle was at uni during this period.

They probably figured out University was a waste of time and decided to start businesses earning real money.
