It looks like you had some slightly windy but otherwise great weather for your overnighter and your camp is looking great! Per your suggestion from awhile back, I was able to collect some amadou and get a fire going with it using my flint and steel. It worked like a charm and took a spark no problem. One more resource to use besides char cloth, thank you so much for the idea! As always, you put out really great content my friend! I am especially enjoying this Cimbrer Camp series. ATB.

Sitting here in the comfort of my living room and listening to the wind, the birdsongs, and the crackle of your campfire is such a serene experience. I can only imagine how pleasant and meditative it must be for you! That dinner you cooked was (once again) mouth watering! I love that little kettle/dutch oven you used. That, by the way, would be a superb vessel in which to bake your bread. These days, I rarely bake bread on a rack, pizza stone, or in a bread pan, and opt instead for my trusty dutch oven, which captures the steam from baking bread, keeping the dough elastic and supple so that it can reach maximum volume before the crust is formed. I wish you good health and long life my friend!

Ohhh Colin I’m so sorry for your my friend 😔 I know how great a loss it is losing a dear friend and companion 🐶 … you probably know I lost my wonderful dog 🐕 Cornelius last autumn … and it still hurts when I think of him … and I do that every day. Hope your ok and that you soon will gain your positive and loving personality. I’m sure Phoebe and Cornelius is playing on a summer meadow … somewhere up in the sky 😉 Take care my friend and hang on … time will heal. Atb to you Tom

Very cool water canteen I love the brown old school leather...i also have a similar saw that one is cooler tho I tried to find a folder but all they had was cheap Chinese models gotta keep shopping around for a folder like that one u showed with the wooden handle ....very handy

You have made many changes to your camp and it is so good too. I love the steak and pasta meal you cooked and it must have left you full and content. After all the food you had your sleep should be great and leaving you well rested when you got up.

Another lovely video, Tom. I think the most common word for your lettuce must be "Arugula" in English. Well, at least where I live. (Minnesota) I have never heard it called rocket, but I'm sure somewhere they use that. I really like your system of different hooks over your fire, three different distances from the coals. That was very clever. I enjoy your wooded hillside, too. How are your ant discouragement methods working? I hope you will give an update on that. Thank you again for your peaceful videos!
