Just got back from a three day camp about 200 klms away with some friends and my 84 year old Dad. Dad lives near the tropics up north. On the camp we had - 1c. He felt the cold so I showed him a few videos to show it was not cold at all. I showed him some of your videos and he loved them. He told me we have distant Danish ancestry via the Normans. Made me think that the love of the outdoors is universal.

I put it in a plastic bowl or ziplock bag and add green peppers onions mushrooms and marinate overnight in the refrigerator with Italian salad dressing to cover all. The next day I place 4-5 pieces of meat alternating with the veggies on skewers and cook them over a fire 🔥. Thanks for sharing your video and we’ll catch ya on the next adventure. ATB Mike

You are following what seems to be the path that most bushcrafters seem to follow: build to meet a need, build to meet a want, improve and fine tune through use, finally rebuild once everything is to your liking, with an eye to aesthetics and artistic embellishments, incorporating everything you previously learned. Great video, I really appreciate the time and thought you put into framing each shot, and I'm sure you spend a good deal of time editing too. I like your base camp security stem! I believe that you have one of the nicest camps I have ever seen. I loved the way that you have presented yourself and your time in such a wonderful campsite. I look forward to more of your presentations in the future. I will tell you why I believe what you do is so important. Very powerful people of the world have decided to reduce world total population from 7.4 Billion people down to only 550 Million people. As you watch all youtube channels you will see all nations bragging about their powerful war ships, planes, tanks, fire power, missiles, and strong armies, navies, and air force troops. People in the cities will not survive as they run out of food and starve. Only the people who know how to live off the land and bush craft like you are teaching will have a chance to live. WW3 is coming fast! I pray your skills help all.

He uses more tools, modern items than when i grill at home on my weber gas grill. In what way is this bushcraft? Nice video but this is just a regular bbq over open flame:)
@isaiaseliseudasilva10065 жыл бұрын
Yeah. Perhaps "cooking over a campfire" is a better definition of that style than "bushcraft cooking". Anyway, as you mentioned, this issue of labeling doesn't diminish the video quality. 🔥🍖

Hi young man, not really sure where your at in the world but you have got some wonderful looking countryside (woods) to enjoy. I just found your channel a few days ago and I’ve only seen a couple of videos so far. I’ve really have enjoyed what I’ve seen. I call you young man because you appear to be a number of years younger than myself ( maybe 20 or 30) and I’ve not watched enough to have learned your name yet. Peace and Gods blessings upon you. Tom you are making me hungry again. Lovely day at t your camp thanks! With respect to your Wasp nest; Wasps are very territorial and they will not build where another nest is already in place. All you need to do is to take a small brown paper bag the size to fit a light lunch. Stuff the bag with some crumpled newspaper to provide some shape to the bag and then hang it inside your tent. The wasp will see it and thinking that it is a nest will go elsewhere to build it's own. Very simple safe and effective.
@cimbrerbushcraft-vikingheritag5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Moray for your tip on wasps 👍🏻😁 I didn’t know that and if it’s going to be a problem … I’ll try that 👌🏻😉 Again … thanks my friend for your kindness and support See you soon 🏕🦌🔥🌤🌲
@morayjames925 жыл бұрын
I guess I should have added that you want to twist the paper bag shut at the top and tie with a string to hang it. The bag ends up looking enough like a nest to the Wasps that they will go away. Hang the bag near to where the nest you found was.

Thanks for another nice video, your camp is coming along nicely. I loved the end when you sat out looking at the scenery, you do have a nice spot there. As regards the cute little wasp, it wont be very cute in a couple of months as there will be hundreds and hundreds of them, they will all join in building the nest and it will be the size of a watermelon. All the best.
@cimbrerbushcraft-vikingheritag5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your feedback and advice regarding the wasps🐝 I’m not letting them build a new nest inside my Lavvu 😉 My plan is to remove it every time I’m out there 👍🏻😁 so don’t worry. I appreciate your concern and hope you’ll have a wonderful day 🌤🌲🔥🏕

As you were sitting looking over the flowery fields , I Thaught how perfect a spot it is for a bee hive ! There are Old school Bee Hives , you may like , like horizontal Bee hives , Or amazing new hives designed on the east coast of Australia , called 'Flow Hives ' . They allow you to split the honey comb without disturbing the bees , or hurting them , and the honey just runs out of the hive into a Jar , with the turn of a single bolt . Maybe a Bee Hive , would be a great addition to your camp that gets better all the time :)

Nicely filmed sir, sweet camp there👍 The birds are happy you're there as they're singing and talking a lot. Good upgrade on the saw horse. The flashlight will come in handy for sure, and the candle lantern is perfect for the tent. Pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon, slow cooked over an open fire, super😋 Great over night video including the signature coffee, nip and wink😉 See you next time. Enjoy!

Tom, thanks for sharing, the saw horse upgrade turned out well. Your tenderloin was cooked to perfection, the potatoes looked great as well. Now that's some fine campfire cooking. I haven't had any really good bier since I was in Germany in the seventies. I had a cup of coffee with you today 😉. I have yet to break out my pipe . Great looking flashlight. The gifted lantern was awesome. Breakfast looked great, no potatoes left over ? The cooking stand is a new addition, I think , it seems to work well. I enjoyed our visit. Take care ATVB 😆👍😉
