EASTERN BLOC - KV-1E in War Thunder - OddBawZ

The KV-1E in War Thunder is a bit of a bully. What it lacks in firepower it more than makes up with armour. It's hull is pretty much equal to that of the Tiger 1.
With 110mm of armour on the hull and up to 95mm on the sides, the KV-1E is an angle monster. This tank is is nightmare to take out at range and even up close and personal.
The KV-1E is identical to the German KV-1B but unfortunately it regularly fights against German guns making it less effective overall. It doesn't make it any less fun to play!
The Russian tech tree has some amazing tanks at this battle rating and you can even bring this with your 4.3 lineup to help mop up the remaining vehicles on the battlefield.

I find odds videos are more informative about the tank even if that’s not the aim, but you get a good idea of how it performs in a enjoyable little package, we’re as phyls videos are jus pure entertainment which is great but I like to get a idea for a tank.... and I don’t like long intros which phly has a habit of, I want straight up gameplay.....

The same type of issue with the event is happening in Air RB. People will spawn a Vautour, speed to a base, bomb it, then nose dive and swap to another nation's jet bomber and do it again. It's really sad that Gaijin can't have the foresight to keep these kinds of cheese gameplay cycles from popping up, because it really ruins gameplay for everyone else.

I was wondering why 4.0 was full of kv1 E and I was being killed by them every time even if I got the first shot on them with my stug 3 g or my panzer 4 H, I can't seem to pen their frontal armor even at point blank range. They're a premium tank so that basically explains everything

This thing is a nightmare to deal with. Even with the 75mm KwK in the German Panzer IVs, if you do not know where to shoot this thing is just like a damn rock. I blasted 6 rounds into this, all "Non Pen" or I killed the driver's optics. And the gun too weak? He always one shotted basically everything. The dude in the other team had 13 - 0 at the end of the battle. Pretty fair. Just insane how Russian friendly the game devs are. That situation at 17:10 forward perfectly shows that. You can easily turn towards another enemy first before dealing with a German Panzer IV, showing him the side of the tank. This is just hilarious that it cannot pen you at that angle. This thing should be 5.3 like the Tiger. This thing has even better side protection! And the gun usually never has any problems one hit killing targets. And if not, others will have problems penning you. And "others can easily pen me if they know where to shoot me" is a VERY vague statement. If this tank drives or moves around, looks at you while you have to adjust to distance and the right spot, you are dead in the water already cause this thing can basically shoot ALL other tanks at its BR anywhere, killing it. I usually don't flame about tanks in this game, but this thing makes me really angry. Panzer IVs are glass cannons; if they cannot pen a tank at their BR pretty much anywhere they shoot, something is clearly wrong. And sorry, I cannot upvote a video (and I usually do that with all your vids) where you or anybody else uses an abomination of a totally unfair tank.

I gotta say, i absolutely hate the R3, mainly because the ones ive gone against take out my barrel with ease, but also because they can go through the front turret of my T-34, they bully my ASU, my anti air is easily gotten by them, they easily get to the side of my SU-85, but also because you can see the driver when looking right at their front, but you cant machine gun through there because there are modeled optics that stop it

I had the same problem, go in your settings and put your sight in arcade mode. Realistic sight doesn't let you see through. In Sim you will not see through the bushes though!

It's borderline impossible to play the allies at 4.0-4.7 i kept track over the last two days of playing and like 35 of my last 40 games have been Max uptier. If i play at 5.3 or 5.7 it's usually full down tier or only up tierd 1 bracket instead of 3. I only want to play shit at like 4.3 though

When I'm using the Achilles I feel like I'm hunting these guy there was a time when they where 4 of these in a squad and I had the Achilles and I cleaned them up angled or not they it's so satisfying to know if they were left unchecked they could have destroyed the game

Nice. The achilles is one of the few things these should see normally that can do that. In fact without uptiering them i don't think anything in the brit lineup besides the Achilles and the Archer even has the gun for it. Shame the KV-1C doesn't respond quite as well to the Challenger. Whirblewinds, KV-1C's, Tiger II's, and R3's the banes of my existence.

Not sure where you get the idea brits cleave through this thing Odd. They've got a fair amount of pen but if it's being properly angled they pretty much need the same spots as everyone else until you get to the 17lb'r and you really shouldn't be running into that thing very much in this unless your deliberately uptiering it.
