Thanks Jason for showing us the development of the holly from last year to this year. Seeing this growth gives me courage when I chopped 80% off of a little holly this week knowing what I can get to grow back in a year from now!

I just bought a small Yaupon holly with a nice trunk structure (but not in a great shape overall) for about $4 in a local well-known chain store. Because of its condition (and the remark of a fellow customer), the cashier took 60% (or so) off the original price. As a true beginner in the Bonsai world, I did not even know whether it would be a good "investment" 😆. I am so glad I found this channel. I will try to bring it back to a healthy life and see whether I can turn it into something that resembles a bonsai tree. Subscribed !!

What a cool tree. what type of tape did you use to help protect the branch from breaking when you bent it. Looking for alternatives to Raffia for my little trees.
@easternleaf2 жыл бұрын
Just a little bit of grafting tape. :)
