That turned out spectacular! I have a couple olives I collected with twin trunks and this gave me some ideas on how to work with them.

I just received my first pine, ( a Black pine from your nursery!!! My 4th tree from you ) and hope you can maybe do a video on young pine development and care....Thanks for another tree!!! This tree in the video, reminds me of a Trident I have. It starts with a single trunk, then has three trunks separating from it. I have been trying to think of how to trunk chop two of them to develop a better style, but its already very early spring here in the mid-eastern US, and I think its too late for such a major cut to 2 of three trunks. Two of my three Tridents might be well past my skill level. Good video. Thanks!

Don't know how often you read comments. I only just found your videos last night. Thought maybe other commentors will know... But, last Spring I bought a Brussel's Bonsai brand golden gate ficus (I believe that's what it is judging by the pictures on the site. The label never said what type it was. Which I find to be very irresponsible. Especially for beginners. Given how important it is to know what tree you're working with.) From my Walmart's greenhouse. There was also a ginseng there that is still there that I'm thinking of adopting if I move into a better house. But. Halfway through the year we fate dropped some kittens into my home so whereas my office has a baby gate to guard from our other animals I could no longer keep the door open because they're so small they can get around and over it. Well when winter came the room's temp became colder than I intended and all the leaves dropped. But I continually checked to find the wood green. Well now that spring is coming I find little fuzzy buds growing on the branches. Every website I read said the leaves would never come back. I continued to water it lightly through winter to keep the roots damp. So will the leaves come back? I figured it was just dormant which is healthy for trees. But I'm not sure. Its my first.

Do you have to repot or remove some roots after a trunk chop?
@heidizwaenepoel73552 жыл бұрын
Could you do that to any species ? A trunk chop ? Or which ones accept that more ?
