At the jail where I live, inmates are required to strip naked, bend over and spread their butt cheeks while a deputy looks to see if any contraband is hidden. Also, even though jail is more short term, there are inmates who may be serving a year or two, and they might be pretty hardened guys. Always keep your mouth shut, even around other inmates, and always ask immediately for a lawyer. In jail, cleanliness and hygiene are a big priority, so keep clean, and keep your cell clean. You might trade dessert items for a snack. Phone calls are recorded, and are very expensive. Never enter a cell uninvited. Be respectful of everyone in your pod, but not chummy.

Nate, you should do an investigation as to why the police are violating the I.C. 19-615 requirement to bring those arrested without a warrant directly before a magistrate for a determination of probable cause and instead locking them in a cage without the I.C. 20-604 judicial order.

I've been to jail a couple times in my day (regrettably) and this is nothing how it goes lol maybe the procedure, but Every inmate that gets booked is treated less than a stray dog. The disrespect and inhumane treatment that you receive in jail is a game changer. Made me respect and value my freedom so much more. I've grown a lot and become a lot wiser because of the experience though. God bless
