I'll never understand that of the US. Well, yes I understand how it works, but I don't understand why the government thinks it is okay. I"m in Canada and the province will pour whatever money is needed into a disabled child's life. Once they turn 19, they transition to adult funding programs to get assistive equipment, for them to hire their own care workers. and more. Nothing is perfect, but the US system breaks my heart to know that parents can hardly get the bare minimum for their children.

I have an adult friend with the same condition, he’s in his 50’s now and just retired from law enforcement, he too wore braces to help maintain the shape of his chest, and went on to play football in high school. Hope mom has a blast taking the kids to Barnes and Nobles to find great books!

My friend’s grandson lives in Idaho. He was experiencing chest pains.The Dr. there diagnosed him immediately. He was sent to a specialist in Arizona who operated on him. They placed metal rods in the chest. He is now doing great. But this boy sounds like he may have a trickier situation.
