Eastman SB55 Quick Look

Got my white aged Eastman SB55/TV a couple days ago. Stumbled across it, just holding is an experience, it captured me, kind of like shopping for a puppy. Never heard of them until I saw this beauty hanging there. People should really seek them out for demos to see what's possible beyond Gibson CS.

I bought one 5 days ago and I love it simple expressive and easy to play really like the 10 level on the tone is the pickup only and then 9-0 you have tone control in action neck is right up my alley and the Faber bridge is not just your average wrap around bridge as this one can intonate well very good quality always wanted a Gibson but this will do nicely

@@EJBGuitar I picked up Eastman’s limited edition SB55-TV Pomona Blonde guitar yesterday and love it! Lightweight, great neck, great tone, nice variety via the volume and tone controls. I also own an Eastman SB59/V. Both guitars are keepers. 👍

I have always looked past the Gibson LP Jr but this thing has me thinking. I see one now on reverb for $1050 what a steal for an instrument you can definitely hand down in the family with case etc. Great review.

I have one of those. Phenomenal guitar. I love my old gibson's but honestly the eastman is a better Instrument. Gibson if you're listening you need to do better. Even at one third of the price of a gibson the eastman's are better period. I'm 75 years old been playing professionally for over 50 years. I have 3 eastmans. They are all my go to guitars.

Thanks! Yeah of course. Any guitar can be a great blues guitar. It has a great, expressive P90 in it and great volume and tone pots so it’s great at blues and much more.

A little hum, not as bad as most P90s heard. There are different Lollar P90s though and I can’t say for all of them.

I own an Eastman SB 55 Dc V. Their guitars are awesome. I do have to say the Kemper profiles all sound the same to me…washed out. Plug that guitar into a tube amp. It will come to life.

I still have 3 tube amps (Morgan AC-20DLX, 5150 III, and a Plexi)- not going back. I have no issues with the Kempers I have. But I’m not a tube amp snob so I’m sure that weighs in on my decision too. Love tubes, but nah…I’ll stick with my Kempers.
