I'm confused I guess, I just watched another review of this Nexus platform. In that review they said this was designed for the Target archer? So is it a Hunting platform or a target Archery platform? Or is it the first platform to produce a bow for the Archery hunter who wants to stay active during the off season shooting the same bow, set up for shooting Targets? Which to me is exactly what I am looking for. Something I can put a 10 to 12 inch front stabilizer out front n maybe 8 out back. For Hunting quite less vibrations during the shot. But yet can add 20 inches out front more or less a back bar and be able to hold on target and post some great scores during the off season. I gotta get my hands on this bow.

There are 3 Nexus models, a 2, 4, and a 6. Which all correlate to the ATA length. The 34 and 36 are designed for target archery and the 32 (like what we are shooting) are intended for hunting. It's all based off the length of the bow though. Depending on your application for hunting, you could shoot the Nexus 4 for target and hunting like you are describing. That long ATA sure is forgiving!

Pretty cool that you got Jason to be you co host, he is such a good dude and quite knowledgeable and that you got the two people from Prime (they look related) to go over the bow with you instead of just giving off initial impression. It is nice to know the thought and design behind a product. One of my cousins and a couple buddies love their PRIME bows. I have yet to hold and draw one or any of the flagship bows like Mathews, Hoyt, Bowtech and so on. Being left eye dominate and not having a local shop that deals with them makes it difficult to find and do that. Thanks for sharing. I hope that in the next couple years I can upgrade from my 2006 PSE.

@@EastmansHuntingJournals you are welcome. I enjoy giving my detailed thoughts and feedback. I try and do that as often as possible instead of leaving just a few generic words. If only I would have gotten a degree in communications instead of business management.

I shot the Black 5 at my local pro shop & liked it. I got home only to find out a couple of days later that Prime was coming out with their 2021 models. I thought I’d wait and see what was new about the 2021 bows. If it wasn’t much I’d try & make a deal on the Black 5. But now, I am going back in to shoot the Nexus. I see folks are commenting on the hand shock so it will be something to which I’ll pay attention. I like Prime’s warranty & the free string replacement offer.

The black is a better bow IMO

Cat Whiskers or any other top string silencers will help any bow's noise. Not sure what Prime's string stop end is like??? Plenty of bows need better ends. Putting the BowJax Gel Revelation on my bow very soon.

If i was able to afford it, I would be upgrading my old Prime Alloy to the Nexus 2

You can though. Unless of course you’re the main income of the family, but even then you can save a few bucks per check. And not just throw a grand by the end of the week and you’re family needing it. I sold my Ct3 and saved up some money. And just ordered mine.

Nice fit and finish, holds well at fd, draws well, the hand shock & vibration after the shot is totally unacceptable

just had new strings put on my Logic, cost me a whopping $30 to have the shop install it lol. The free replacement strings are a real savings.. Watch people draw back various bows. Watch how their hand rocks when they come to full draw. Many will show how it rocks in their hand because of the dump into the valley. Not the Nexus, the other one that does not do it is the Bowtech Solution SS

I must’ve got a lemon or something because mine is way way way loud. To say 50% quieter than the 2019s...definitely not my nexus 4. Bow holds amazing and is a shooter but super loud to me
