I find most instruments in the mandolin family inspiring to play. Thanks to Eastwood for building some unusual instruments. I wish other brands would follow suit. Thanks for the video.

My God. That is beautiful music!!!

Sounds like a mellowed-out 12-string -- I like the way being tuned in fifths results is a wide open sound, much less harmonically cluttered than a 12-string.

R.J. Great demo. Everything you play is so tasteful. Well done.

Beautiful. I bet it could be tuned to 5ths or 4ths.

What song is that? It sounds familiar but I can't place it! Sounds great, by the way.

Mandocello = an 8-string mandolin scaled down to cello range. Sounds awesome. Must be hard to acclimate to 5th's tuning.

Not if you play mandolin family and tenor guitar tuned as such :)

GC Kelloch , you can always change the strings gauge , as i did with the tenorbaritone, and i kept the A D G C tuning . I also have two bouzoukis ( one electric and one acoustic) , they have the same scale lenght of the instrument that you see in this video , but on both i have thinner strings
