This video has been so helpful I have done two vehicle repairs now. Not a pro but just a shade tree mechanic that’s too broke to hire out, and enjoys doing it too much!

When doing stitch welding is it possible to do leak proof welds? How do you check to make sure they are leak proof?

Weld thru primer could have been used here.... The inside of the A pillar was rusted and the back side of the patch panels should have been coated.

I've tried using that stuff. It makes your welder a torch really quick. Had to get good at cleaning it away from anywhere I was actually welding.

Does the brake really bend 18 gauge? I recall seeing reviews on amazon indicating otherwise. Thank you.

Honestly, it's just fun to take a break and watch someone else do some work on their projects. Big project on an even bigger K5 Blazer that needs a bit of everything. Just stuck thinking about the tools that I don't have on hand like a *bead roller, English wheel, and planishing hammer...* I have one heck of a shrinker/stretcher, a beast, but that won't help me when it comes to the drip rails being eaten at the point where the top of the cab meets the A-Pillar on the left hand side of the Blazer. By chance, do you offer military discounts and package discounts at all? If I'm buying the tools I listed, they're all at once.

good job but to be definitively efficient, you should put grease everywhere. grease et the only thing very efficient against rust. put grease between metal and carpet, inside door, behind metallic bumper, behind (inside the car), under the vehicle, behind the repairs you can make (everywhere inside hidden erea - instead of using paint), hollow areas (necessarily hidden, so no need to be aesthetic). For rear wings unreachable with a paintbrush, use an extender and poor old oil everywhere each year.Handyman Experience - 35 years. From france

Very cool! The exact tools that I'll be needing. Looks like I'll be dropping a lot of coin at Eastwood but the time it'll save me will be well worth it.

You didn't do anything to the pinch weld to treat the rust that you took a grinder to but a grinder doest get it cleaned enough to get rid of the rust in the little Poors of the metal so it's just going to start rusting back. That's one camaro I wouldn't want after see what kind of work that was done to it .the fab work was fine just not enough rust protection for me .I would put the body man down the road for that

Man, I'm sorry but those are some ugly welds, lol. Thank you, if they were gorgeous it would have made me less confident to do this, haha
