I love your channel due to videos like this. Instead of showing hauls of clothes or supporting consumerism, you encourage us to be more creative and feel better on our already owned clothes and to shop smarter. This video is absolutely brilliant and goes straight to my list of favorites. All the tips are useful and within reach of one as clumsy as myself. Also, you have just given us a very useful masterclass on how to look at an outfit to discover why it works. Thank you so much for you dedication and your creativity.

@@Sekret_BOLSHOY Thank you for your feedback. Although we are gifted and talented in many ways, some of us don't have the innate ability to style a wardrobe. 😞 I have always believed in being a good steward of God's grace and the money He allows me to earn is included. 🙌🏼 That said, I have followed various stylists, including the one she mentioned partnering with-but while I like her fashion sense, it is not the right fit for me. I am thankful that Elena and her family are safe during this terrible time of war when her country has been invaded. She is obviously thriving and I wish her all the best! 🙏🏼 I look forward to many more style tips and fashion wisdom from her in the coming days! 🫶🏻 Be well and keep the peace.

I follow you on Instagram and was blown away by the earring hack, as well as the safety pin in the back of the shirt hack. The safety pins at the hem of too-long pants is next-level genius! Such a useful video, Ellena! Thank you! ❤
@ccbedardable7 ай бұрын
Instead of pinning the jeans or trousers, which still look sloppy when seen from the back, consider going to a great tailor and shorten the trousers. Tailors need support -- an art that is not supported enough. It looks much better, and does not cost much. It's worth it.
@katrinsouthern93176 ай бұрын
I think her reason was the versatility, then you can take the hem up or let it down depending on your styling of that day. Otherwise totally agree with you, we really should support our local tailors whose existence is being killed by fast-fashion. Plus - as you say - the outfit will look so much better on us when properly tailored.

@@joycegreer9391 I agree. Why not just buy boot cut/capri length pants?
@ceasarsaran85735 ай бұрын
You dont get it. The current style is to have the pants look like they are breaking over your feet. I do that too sometimes. Pin the back so you are not stepping on them, and it looks too long like you want it to. I really like the look of wider pants that are bit too long.

I’m a petite and I tuck in all my tops, or wear “cropped”, waist-length ones. It makes a huge improvement to my visual proportions, I always look stumpy in big, long tops. Purging all those tunic-length tops from my wardrobe around 15 years ago was the best thing I ever did for my style. They are still heavily pushed for women my age, 64, but there’s nothing more unflattering and frumpy. My tummy is more rounded than in my youth, but I don’t care, we women supposed to have some curves and really, mine is no bigger than other women my size (about US 8), smaller, if anything.
@gailsykes26913 ай бұрын
I'm petite too, 5ft and UK12, and often have tops shortened (if I like them enough to justify the cost!). I'm shorter bodied so find tucking in makes me look as though my boobs are sitting on my waist band. I aim for the hemline to be just 2 or 3 inches below waistband and I feel much better proportioned. Doesn't work so well with knitwear though 🙁
