Great pizza! I am planning an upcoming Argentine pizza series (I think I said that last year as well, but it really is coming this year, haha!), so it was interesting to see the similarities and differences in how we make pizza. I have never seen two-ingredient pizza dough before, but it definitely worked. I am impressed! I like that you make your own sauce. I agree that it's better because then you can control what goes in it. However, our recipes vary a lot... Most traditional Argentine pizzas use a raw sauce! They put the sauce on the raw dough, then par-bake the dough to make a "pre pizza." Then, they take out the dough, put on the cheese, etc., then put it back in the oven. Very different from what most people in the USA do. You'll see what I mean soon haha I love all those vegetables. I love red onion on pizza, it gets nice and sweet! Those pizzas turned out great, Alicia! Well done as always!

Hi Parnell! I do remember you saying something about a pizza series. I will be really interested in how you do yours! It sounds like it is definitely a different process from the traditional way in the USA. That will be very interesting! I love using a lot of vegetables because they not only taste good but are point free on WW! I make these so often and they really do hit the spot when I'm craving pizza. Thanks for watching my friend and I hope you have a Happy Valentine's Day!

Alicia, I have a lot of arthritis in my hands, so I was wondering, if I could use the hook attachment on my standing mixer to do the kneading? I’d just keep an eye on it & also add a little additional flour if it looked sticky, then once it looked right I’d roll it out. What do you think. Much like you, I prefer to make my own sauces, etc if it’s going be less costly. For myself I’d make one of them with a white sauce, like Alfredo & perhaps make it all vegetables. Mike teases me all the time that I’m going to become a vegetarian one of these days. Those both look really good & I thought the crust looked great when you showed that.
@AliciaLynnYT

Absolutely on the hook attachment! I would let the hook knead if for 5 minutes and then yes, add any additional flour to roll it out. Alfredo sauce sounds delicious with vegetables!

Hi Alicia, this looks delicious! I love tons of vegetables too :) I'm hoping to begin weight watchers again sometime next week so I'll be really going through your recipes before I go shopping. Lol I have 2 questions...one of which you might have answered at some point. What plan did you and your husband decide to get on? And also...for this pizza...what is the points just for the crust? I'm looking forward to starting WW but want to have some major meals planned before jumping in. Your recipes are helping with that, so thank you!💕 just saw in another video youre on the green plan so you don't have to answer that question...LOL

Hi Tina! We really enjoy WW and I hope you will too if you do it! We are doing the Green plan which has the least amount of free or zero point foods but has the most overall points. The total points for the crust for both pizzas is 17 points. It can go up a little bit if you use a lot of extra flour to knead and roll out the dough. Im happy to hear my recipes are helping to give you some ideas!😀 Thanks so much for watching!💛

@AliciaLynnYT
@AliciaLynnYT Жыл бұрын
Hi Vivian, I actually have two. My older videos show this one, the PowerXL amzn.to/3Lv7KYD and my newer ones of the last year or so show this one, the Cosori amzn.to/3R6hufw I did pretty detailed videos on both of them, I'll link them here in case you want to watch kzbin.info/www/bejne/n3vJgZufjdmhfaM , kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWjQk2p5j7lnb8U But, to put it simply, I love them both and they both cook about the same. The Cosori is a little more expensive but it does have the dual elements that make it cook slightly faster and yields a slightly crisper result. The PowerXL is just about as good though and cooks pretty quickly compared to most, I believe. Honestly I would recommend either! I only bought the second when I left my first one on our summer trip last year and didn't want to go a year until I got it back. I used it way too much to go without! Lol Hope that helps and hope you are having a good weekend!

I made this for the first time and it was delicious but the bottom of the pizza was a little too soft/doughy. Is there a way to crisp up the bottom? I had sprayed my 12 inch pizza pan with some Pam spray and I wonder if that was the cause. I also cooked the dough for 5 minutes before putting the toppings on and then cooked for 15 at 400. Thanks!
@AliciaLynnYT
@AliciaLynnYT 4 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry it was soggy but I'm glad you still liked it! I don't think the Pam spray would do that but maybe. I use olive oil on the pan and I have more recently started using it on top of the dough before putting the toppings on. I will either lightly spritz it on the dough or brush a little on with a basting brush. Olive oil kind of prevents moisture from seeping into the dough, making it crispier. I think maybe cooking it a little longer before putting the toppings on and baking again might help too!

Hi Alicia, making pizza tonight and came across this video 😁 i don't have self rising flour, what can i add to it (ive heard baking powder and salt) but not sure of the measurements. Cooking for 2 so im thinking all i need is 1/2 cup flour and 1/2 cup yogurt...how many slices of pizza would that make? And how many points would it be for the crust using half cup portions? Thanks in advance 😊😊

Hi Sarah, to make self rising it is 1 1/2 tsp baking powder and 1/4 tsp salt per cup of all purpose flour. If you halve this recipe it will make one pizza or 4 slices. The crust would be 10 points instead of 19 if you do half. Be aware that you might need more flour to knead and roll this out than the 1/8 cup I have listed and that can slightly increase the points on it. I have been cutting a little bit back on my yogurt so that I don't have to add more flour than the 1/8th cup and that has been working well. Also, I have started baking the crust alone for about 5 minutes before adding the toppings and brushing it with olive oil before baking it to help prevent the pizza being "soggy" Hope that helps and I hope you enjoy! This dough can be a little tricky to work with but I love it!

@@AliciaLynnYT Thank you for your detailed reply it's much appreciated 🙏 Sorry to clarify, when you bake the crust for 5mins do you add the oil as well or after the 5min of baking?

@@MissSmurfey You're welcome! Brush the olive oil on before baking. It acts as a moisture barrier which helps!

Why do u add oil & sugar to ur pizza sauce😲???
@AliciaLynnYT
@AliciaLynnYT 4 жыл бұрын
That's just how I learned to make it. The oil helps extract the flavors from the herbs and the sugar balances out the acidity of the tomato paste.

@@livelifelbw The way I show it in this video, it should come to 26 pts for 1 pizza (4 servings) or 6 pts a slice based on 8 total servings.

@@AliciaLynnYT Oh rgt, 8 pices a pizza my bad thanks, was having a problem in the calculator guess how I was entering it in, thanks again 😉👍🏽

@@livelifelbw I'm sorry Lisa, how i wrote that was confusing. It is 4 slices per pizza, 8 total slices or servings between the two pizzas. Since I make two pizzas out of the dough, I just enter all ingredients for both pizzas and set the servings to 8 and it comes in at 6 points per slice. Hope that made sense!

Hi Alicia Lynn! Could I please have your email or some message communication? I hate to keep asking for help through these comments, since it probably doesn't help anyone else! Happy 4th of July!!:)

I have an email on my home page and also Instagram but honestly don't check either of those near as often as I do messages on here. I just don't have the time to keep up on everything, so my priority is KZbin which makes it the best place for the fastest response!

Also, keep in mind things like elevation make a big difference in baking, including in the air fryer! I've experienced the difference first hand living in low and high elevations. Also, humidity. It isn't just ingredients and temps, unfortunately.
