The gear and enemy preview has gotten way better over the early access. Ulfsire has managed to put some really nice UI touches over the course of the early access.

I go warrior and Humbaba as a God for the life drain aspects which helps early on and whose skills can heal. I also go physical and ice. The ice pet is great and once you have 25 levels in skills you unlock the Paragon class which allows you ice pet to share all that poise .and whatever you are spamming for 15k+ armor and 4k + damage.

If it were a classic roguelike it would have no unlocks Achra sits somewhere between, as you unlock only options and no power ups, but I'd argue that this is still a roguelite concept.
