Loved the step by step clear explanation for each upgrade. Just to be sure, you recommend the crossed brackets variety so that you don't have to make the mod you did with the square brackets type? Also, I'm a bit confused. I thought the Pro-Guide V-16 trailer came with factory installed carpet covered bunk loading guides bolted to the trailer right where you placed these guides. Did you remove the factory ones first, and if so why do you prefer these type of guides ?

Yes, the crossed style should work without having to modify the bracket. I removed the factory bunks because there is a chance the lifewell fittings can catch on them and tear them off. It's happened a few times in a V-16 group I'm in so better safe than sorry. Also, guide ons have always worked great for me. 👍

Hi, I just checked out your Amazon store, on your boat is that the ''silver color'' for the registration numbers ? I got a new tracker super guide v16 in black and would like to order the same color for my registration numbers.

Shouldn't the slope of the letters slant the other direction to mirror the backwards sweep of the bow?

That's how I did them on my last boat but this time I matched the graphics on the boat. Seeing it all together I think it looks good together but I could see slanting in the opposite direction looking good as well. Without graphics, I'd slant opposite to what I did.
