Thanks heaps bro !!! I’m an old school mono man who has just changed to braid and I’ve watched countless videos on different braid to mono knots and I’ve been shown by heaps of my mates even more knots but nothing has been as easy to do or understand as you’ve shown in this vid and I’ve retained the information. Cheers bro, now putting new leader on my braid in the middle of a hot session surrounded by mates isn’t so daunting. TUMEKE !!!!

Seriously the best knot video on the tube! Matt, you need to do a series of videos on all the most useful knots. Thanks for saving me months of frustration!

I ordered this to net the algae in a large pond in our backyard. kzbin.infoUgkxphFK7ETiDP5G4IGsNcg7vbASDp_YfDpI The net is very sturdy and easy to maneuver in the water. The angled edges make it easier to get into the smaller spaces among the rocks. I didn't realize that the front of the net doesn't actually have a frame to it, just the sides do, but it seems to work just fine. The handle extends to various sizes, which is a great feature when I'm in areas that are tight with shrubs at the edges of the pond. I can collapse the handle so it doesn't get stuck in the bushes.

Best tutorial for this knot! Thank you. So many people made it a lot more difficult for no reason.

You can’t beat this knot super strong use it all the time here in South Florida although I’ve never seen anyone make the wraps down the loop rather than up the loop which seems to be a little easier anyway great knot Thanks

I tried with the Albright but just wasn't happy with it, went and learned the FG and never looked back. But in very windy days the FG is hard and if I just need a join quick then it's the Albright. Especially on rods with bait.

If you’re casting I’d recommend the tony peña knot. It goes through the guides extremely well and has extremely good breaking resistance

What is better FG or this? I been using FG for a year but i want a quicker option when fishing and don't have time to sit and be fancy
@vivianmorresey5 жыл бұрын
thats how I feel as well, the knot has been around awhile and been solid for years. Giving that no 2 fish are alike, I think it would be really hard to establish a real world result compared to testing on workbench, do I'm opting for a knot that I can tie well, and regularly and easily.

Can i use this for mono to mono or jus mono/braid to tapered shock leader?
@reddyman69154 жыл бұрын
I tried your knot with 3 lb braid joining to 6 lb Fluoro But is easily broken , don’t know what I am doing wrong ☹️ PS just tried again and wrapped the braid 15 times around the fluoro and hung on this time . I have heard that with light lines , you should wrap the same amount of times back towards the loop again ....... your thoughts on this please ? Thanks for the video 👍
@MrMilsey3 жыл бұрын
The thinner the line the more turns it needs , 20lb braid I loop it 8-10 times never had an issue

Why you don’t use wire line to connect? Is more bite with carbon line?

@warren_hull3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I’m the same …
@SleepingGaint3 жыл бұрын
@@warren_hull I think I figured it out. I make 10 wraps going towards lead end, then 10 wraps going back towards the loop over top of the first 10 wraps. Everything else is the same. Seems to be holding.

@@SleepingGaint yeah I got it after a few tries mate, now hopefully it’s not pissing down with rain and not blowing a gale tomorrow so I can go and test it 😂👍

Why not just use a swivel
@UltimateFishingTV3 жыл бұрын
When using lures you don't what a swivel so negatively effect its movement, the knot will also pass through the guides on the rod, where as a swivel wont.

You obviously didn't tie it properly I've never seen this knot let go I've caught and seen a lot of big fish caught using it , 30 plus kg Giant trevally , big kingfish Tuna , sharks etc etc , great knot once you master It 👌 Don't let that one failure put you off it , perfect It 👌
