It has been a long time since I crocheted anything. I am a senior, senior citizen a nd needed something else to do besides play games on my computer. I decided to try my jand at crocheting . I made this hat and am so proud of how it came out. It was easier than I thought, the directions were so clear. I made two. Thank you. I will be making other hats, a chunky one is next. Hi! i actually needed to fulfill a certain amount of volunteer hours for a school award, and one of the ways to get your hours was making things for the less fortunate or helping others in a way like making beanies for cancer patients. I decided to find an organization like knots of love and mail them my beanies. it was a very fun process and i loved every part of it.

I learned when I was a kid to make a chain. By 16, I learned only a few stitches. I’m 35 and just now making this beanie. Lol thank God so many people are having babies in my family! Don’t give up! It gets better and easier once you know basics and what hooks to use for which yarn etc. the hardest part is learning the abbreviations. You got this !

Istg, it is 10% crochetting, 90% finding where the heck the stitch decrease and re-crochet all over, use stitch marker beginner people (read:me)

Hi! You'll start in the second chain! From row 1 and on your stitch count should be one less than your chain amount.
