I've recently just started crocheting and I've made three single crochet hats from the bottom to the top because I didn't know how to do anything else, I'm halfway through making this beanie and you have taught me how to double crochet! I didn't get to learn from my mom when I was younger, but she was recently able to teach me how to single crochet and decrease :) thank you! You are an amazing teacher!!
@thatguy17062 ай бұрын
Started crochet at the end of August, saw your tutorial for the ribbed beanie with the mostly half doubles, and have since made about a dozen. Picked up a single stitch, made my cat a bed, or was bullied into it as that was about 1/3 a way into what was supposed to be a blanket. Will likely switch and try this pattern next. Been struggling a whole lot with existing, due to internal and external things for awhile, but your tutorials have been very helpful in keeping me focused on something decent. Hope you and yours are well, kindest regards possible from some random guy a yt comments section

Hi! I’m on my third beanie. The first one I made with a very soft yarn and although it was too big it came out nice. However, I used a slightly thicker yarn for the other two and I noticed that where my rows end there is a bulge going down the entire hat. It doesn’t like like a dainty line. It looks crooked like a lightning bolt. I wish I could post a picture here. I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. Any ideas? Otherwise your video is great - perfect speed and very clear instructions! Thank you!

I just want to say thank you for your time and your tutorial on how you made this beanie 💕. I just finished my own by following your instructions and it came out beautifully 😁. I was taught by my great grandmother and grandmother to crochet from a little girl and I actually learned something new from watching this😊, I never knew how to do the two different colors of yarn like you have shown in your video. I thank you very much 🙏. Have a wonderful holidays!! 💗 I made mine black and red. They will be Christmas presents this year.

Does the chain two count as a stitch? When I reach 20 stitches on round 2 there seems to be a single extra stitch leftover and I was wondering if you have any insight on what I need to correct. On another note, I made your ribbed beanie pattern recently and it turned out great!

First beanie I've seen done in the round. I've tried a couple other ones that have you crochet a flat piece and join the ends usually with a slip stich. I was never successful with those. I'll try this one.

Hi Viv! I'm newly addicted to crochet and your tutorials have been my favorite ☺️ I will definitely be trying this beanie next! I was curious if you happen to know about how many inches across your circle is at the 6th round? I have a bulky yarn that I'm thinking of using for this one but have a feeling it may be a bit bigger if i do the same amount of rounds. I can always test it out as I go though, so either way I'm looking forward to making this one! ❤️

Thank you!! ❤️ It’s about 5.5 inches in diameter!

Look at your chains from the front to see the sideways V, then flip it to the back to see the straight lines going across the back of each V. You can also search up “crochet chain back bump”

Can you explain how you go from 4 loops in the first round to 10? I'm new and finding it hard to understand. 😢😢
@pgmosier201329 күн бұрын
The 4 loops is just to make a circle. If it’s confusing to you just learn how to make a magic circle and work 10 double crochet into that magic ring. Magic ring is hard for some people to comprehend which is why some people teach using the 4 chains method to make a circle
