What beautiful potholders and wonderful explained! I am dutch, so english is not my native tongue, but I understood everything and I am going to try making at least one. Enjoy the coming holidays with your family!

Hello Jean, remember when you did this pattern years ago. Thanks for the repeat on potholders. I think I can do it this time around😃.

I make a couple different types of potholders. I've discovered, if I use a piece of fabric about an inch and a half larger than the pretty side of the potholder, I fold that fabric over twice and bring the folded edge up to the pretty side of the potholder, clip in place. Then the other two sides, I fold the corner at a 45° angle, then fold the rest of the fabric over twice, clip and the corners are mitered. Then top stitch all the way around. I think I can do it in my sleep. I sell out at every sale. Anyway, it looks like binding. I guess, technically, it is. I saw someone make a cathedral window potholder, but it was backwards. They left the frame fabric showing, nothing in the middle, as the frame fabric was there. I tried it, but it looked horrible. I now own the ugliest trivets. I did make the regular cathedral window the way you showed (way back when), as a potholder. With all of the batting, I didn't feel that lump in the middle. 😊❤ Don't worry about how much you talk. That's why I like your channel and tutorials. It's comforting and makes me feel like I've stopped in for a visit. ❤ Thanks Jean

Jean, I could see this making very pretty placemats if you sewed a 4 or 5 inch strip to opposite sides..
