Ingredients: Dry: - 1.5 cups of all purpose flour - 1 tsp baking powder - 1/2 tsp baking soda - pinch of salt - 1/2 cup granulated or cane sugar - 1/3 cup brown sugar Wet: - 1/2 cup melted butter (cooled down) - 2 tsps vanilla extract - 1 egg - 1.5 cups of m&ms (red and green only for the outside but on the inside I used red, green, yellow, and brown) you can also substitute m&ms for chocolate chips - green and red sugar, you can also use sprinkles instead of sugar Instructions: - combine dry ingredients in a large bowl - combine wet ingredients in another bowl - add wet ingredients into dry ingredients until cookie dough forms. At first it’s going to be very powdery but use a mixer or your hands until the dough become paste like - fold in the m&ms or chocolate chips - form dough into round balls - I used an ice cream scooper which equals to 1.5-2 tbsps of dough - once balls are formed dip them into the red and green sugar (or sprinkles) and then add the red and green m&ms on top - place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil buttered or oiled up - place in a 350 F degree oven for 10-15 min, it varies on the oven. I kept a constant eye on them after 10 minutes and I took them out when they were still soft in the oven and they hardened and cooked fully outside the oven when they cooled down. I checked them by poking the cookies with my finger and making sure they still felt soft but not falling apart when I took them out. Also, the trick is to check the bottom of the cookie and if it’s brown then that means they’re gonna be hard, so lookout for that 😅
