I have an arsenal of harmonicas, have been playing since 1990. However, I have never researched online lessons, just bought books and self taught. I have learned more in the past two weeks of watching AND practicing your lessons than in the past decade on my own. I'm jamming with a group now! I am bending notes and chugging ! Thank you.

I have been "playing" for years in my car when I can find a song that is in the key of the harmonica I carry. But over the last two weeks I have learned how to play so much better than I ever did on my own! Thanks so much for these really great lessons!

It is a clear demonstration, of how those simple slim notes, later on, became full bodied and turned a seemingly simple riff, into a great sounding simple riff. A really enjoyable video Tomlin; cheers mate.

This is great, but it sure makes me dizzy. I've got to learn to push air out my nose during the blows to get more air back into my lungs in preparation for the draws.
@TomlinHarmonica8 жыл бұрын
+dee hu also make sure you don't breathe to hard. Most people suck too much air in when they should be playing lightly.
@jcogden58297 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the great tips and videos Tomlin. Regarding getting out of breath, I will look out for breathing too hard and taking in too much air. My question is it looks like you take breaths using your mouth taken just off the harp. I seem to naturally do catch-up breaths with my nose, should I change this habit?

I think you're my official harmonica teacher. I don't understand has the notes are laid out. Like on the piano they're laid out in order. On a guitar they're laid out for 4ths 5ths & Octaves. When The Levvee Breaks. AWESOME! RIGHTEOUS! RIGHTEOUS!!!!!
