Thanks for that clear instruction! I always have to use so much brain power to keep track of that last/first stitch. I made one of these, but I decided to make it as a “scarf” for the end of my bed. So it drapes across my Queen sized bed, but only at the foot. I used wool. That thing turned out so heavy that I can barely lift it!🤣 If you use it to cover yourself, it is like one of those weighted blankets. Yours looks much more cozy and soft! 🥰

Christina as I am watching you I am just thinking of my Uncle who use to knit. He would of loved your channel. He made very complicated stiches so I never followed in his footsteps. Also thinking of my Mum who just passed away this January. She use to make herself dresses and costumes all knitted and if she got sick of it un dobit and did another design😊. Hope next year I can go back and choose one of her knitted dress to bring back. Even if I am not going to wear it nice to have her near me. Thank you for this lovely video. I am not going to propisse I will do one but if I decide certainly let you know. Looks relatively easy. My problem was always with knitting I did the stiches very tight. Must learn to loosen up😊🫂

I watched you when you first started to make these cozy blankets. I have made quite a few. I also taught my Grangirls how to make them. Now they are making pillows. Out of the yarn. Thanks for the insturctions. I was at Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago and a lady was looking at this yarn. She looked like what do i do with this. I ask her if she knew how to make the blankets. She said no, so the yarn I was purchasing, I opened one and showed here how to do the stitches. I also gave her your youtube channel and she was delighted. Thanks so much. God Bless.

Thank you so much! Welcome to my Channel!!! In my video description, I have written all the information on they type and length of yarn, I hope it helps you! In the Uk, I think if you can order by amazon you can get it (I have the type of yarn I used in my video description with a link to buy the yarn from amazon). For your sister, I would start with the first row chain and make it as wide as you want (remember you are making the width of the blanket and you can then make as may following rows for the length). The colour is a off white colour (vintage white). I hope you enjoy today's new video! ❤️🎨🙏

And I was doing the same size as in the video…please help, feeling defeated!

Good afternoon Christina, I have been up and down re personal feelings, sometimes it felt things got a bit too much and I just did not get around reading up on the Subscriptions on KZbin and I felt terrible, but I just could not shake it. I have so enjoyed all your project videos, alas, I have not received any new contents from Vancouver!! Are you still blogging or have you got another channel which you work on. If it is Facebook, Instagram or another vlog, then I have missed out greatly as I do not do those. Well, let me take this opportunity before January is racing on to February, we all know and are well aware of how time flies. Did you have a good Christmas and a great New Year's Day. There was also so much I was interested in doing but I did not get around to doing them :( I have decided to create my own happiness, doing what I love most and it is working great for me thus far. When you realise that things are not what they used to be, we have a few choices, you can wallow in those horrible mental conditions, or you decide you will get up and dust yourself off and make a fresh new start to your life. You cannot please other people all the time, so, make time to create happiness for yourself. One of the goals are, I had a few orchids, and do not ask me why but I killed them all 🙊 I thought long and hard about it, and I decided to get myself a plant, some exotic species and take it from there. A particular bulb I tried to buy but nobody had them in stock anymore, so instead of moping about it, I went to a Orchid Shop, they were selling Phalaenopsis presently as the Cymbidiums are winter orchids here and there were none available. I did so much research on KZbin and I feel most confident that I will be successful this time round. I have joined an Orchid Society but they shared so little information, all most like making tea in a chocolate teapot, useless to say the least. I had given them a goodbye a couple of years ago and never regretted that decision. So, the challenge is on and I have to keep going. Do you have a challenge for this year? How is your dear husband doing and those beautiful hairy dogs and the Queen of cats? Hope that everybody is well and happy and contented. Do take care, many blessings, most kind regards.

So I have a question. Her chain was 34. And at the end of the video her blanket was 4 1/2’ x 7. So does that mean she did 34 loops for width and length? Or how many did she do for length to get 7 feet in length?
@joannesnyder7975
@joannesnyder7975 9 ай бұрын
Love your tutorial!! So I am not sure what I am doing wrong but per your instructions for the big blanket we are to knit a chain of 34 but that number is not working out for the stitches to match up so I am doing 32 which works. Unless you meant 34 stitches not counting the 2 end stitches then it would be 36?

I'm just learning how to do this and this is the best tutorial I've seen so far!!! Can you tell me how you know how many stitches across and how many rows per blanket? If I wanted to do a baby blanket or a regular sized blanket?

Oh Christina what a beautiful cozy blanket, the perfect color for any decor. Fur babies feel the same, Lol❤ Loved how you were able to reverse the stich when you saw the error. I remember when my mom taught me how to crochet, I had to rip out so much of my hard work just to correct one error. My daughter is left handed & I'm right handed & teaching her this technique will go so much smoother & less complicated for the both of us. Less frustration & happy memories will create a beautiful blanket, I'm sure she'll treasure forever. Happy Fall 🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂

Hello Christina, It seems I have watched nearly all of your knitting videos except for "Master The Art of Finger Knitting: Baskets, Pet Beds and more... this time, I am aiming to make a knit chunky blanket. Although I am not sure what color yarn to use, your instructions are very precise and easy for me to follow. You are an excellent teacher. Could you knit chunky socks as well? Last but not least, the chunky blanket turned out beautifully. I appreciate you inspiring us to try something new.

hi christina, i just loved your video. so nice to be able to understand & follow along with you without a heavy accent making it difficult to understand. i finished my 2nd big blanket about 6 months ago. i really had to downsize it. mine was going to be 8’ x 8’. now it’s 7.5’ x 5’. i did the seed stitch at the beginning to give it weight then the rib stitch like you did . i also learned how to add a extra border to my blanket after i did the castoff. a little difficult since i don’t crochet but it gave my blanket a little extra umph. i would really like to know how you know approximately how many stitches to chain to get a good width for a big blanket. i think i chained like sixty something & stitches were a little smaller. your video is very informative insightful and you do wonderful work. bless you and your beautiful puppies. keep the videos coming. thank you so very much i learned something new.

Thank you so much! The width is always a challenge, I would chain a set until I am happy with the width, then as for the length you can go as long as you want once the width is set from the first row of chains. I hope you enjoy today's new video! ❤️🎨🙏

I'm very happy to see you today! This is a wonderful tutorial in which you address the beginner problems to great effect. The thing it clarified for me was the stitch length; I didn't know that it's official that the stitches subsequent to the first row should be smaller and felt guilty when I made them so out of necessity. lol. You should really do a book with gorgeous pix and a video attached. Christina, I always feel sorry for your middle doggie whom I feel may have middle child syndrome. It seems kind of unfair that his little brother grew to be larger than he. How do you manage three dogs? To your great credit, they seem very polite and well-mannered. (I only have one and he's a very possessive and demanding eighty-pound lap dog.) I'm glad you got to see Kasha. She's so talented and beautiful, as are you. Did the two of you take a beautiful pic together?? I don't really follow any other media, so maybe you did . . . Have a great week. xxx

Hi Glitter! It's funny we thought about Pascale the middle child syndrome! but I think he is fine, we give him lots of love because he is so easy to pick up and adorable! LOL. What we are experiencing is litter mate syndrome, when you take one out the other cries! Its mainly Gabriel that is doing this because he is young. They will grow out of it our breeder said! hopefully! ❤️🙏🎨

Good afternoon Christina, it was a great video, especially you showing us a new pattern stich and the many uses of this project. I can imagine placing your feet on a soft luxurious blanket when starting out of bed. We can even make the colour match to the existing carpet or room décor. It was fun to see those hairy/furry babies having a good time and Hadley was so sweet to come and keep you company, I think he just wanted some comfort. It was lovely to see you start on the blanket project again, they are so warm and comforting. It is strange how when learning something new, we all have a different perspective of patterns. It was also good to show how to correct a incorrect stich without having to pull out all the work. It seems that our lovely warm season has now started as the temperatures were quite high, it was gorgeous weather, now we are all just waiting for the rains to start. It would be wonderful as it is quite dusty outside. I had to smile looking at the flames in the fireplace, then you know there is a change coming. I really hope the weather will not be too challenging in the Northern Hemisphere this season, we had very high spring tides in the Cape, along the shores, the waves were massive and they pushed wherever they wanted to go. Some of the swells were 9 metres and there was a wind chasing them on as well. It looked very scary as some cars suv's were parked on the usual parking areas and I think the tide pulled back some of them to sea. It does happen at intervals alas, this was an exceptional high tide. I think every 10 years or so. There was some talk about the moon having an effect on the tide as well, which is understandable. Thank you for the tutorial I am sure your dear sister would be so happy with her gift. Do take care, be alert many blessings. Kind regards, Elize.
