My mom has been gone for many years, but I still hear her telling me, "Dont put it down, Rosie, put it away". To this day, I put things away instead of setting them somewhere til I get time to put them where they belong. ♥️

Thank you for these practical tips. I now use a Ryobi cordless stick broom vacuum and it works well for me. It runs on a rechargeable battery, making cleaning much easier.

I do have a cordless vacuum cleaner. It has truly been a God-send! I was constantly afraid of tripping over the long cord of my regular vaccum. Then there was the hassle of stopping to unplug from one outlet to the next. A cordless vacuum is a terrific investment.

Since I am under 5 feet tall, I love using grabbers and tongs to grab items out of reach. Years ago I broke my wrist falling off an unstable stool. So now I am VERY careful to only use designated step stools!! I also wanted to thank you, Lisa, for the time and effort you put into creating your videos! Your zest for life and commitment to home and family are hard to find on social media!!!❤❤

Thank you for the great tips! As a former caregiver for my late husband, I most definitely found out that doing only two or three tidying up jobs a day was both helpful and also, plenty! I do love a clean home, but during that time I had to learn to let a few things get put on the back burner, so to speak!
@miggy71655 ай бұрын
For coffee and tea stains, I use a damp washcloth and baking soda. You can also put warm water and baking soda and let the cup sit awhile and it will wipe right out. Works great for travel mugs, coffee carafes and thermoses.

Wonderful video, Lisa. Everyone of your videos that I listen to. I come away with at least one tip or something new to add to my arsenal. The lentil stew has become a huge favor of ours, even though I took the liberty of adding meatballs to mine, and the focaccia bread wonderful and that will be part of my new routine. I do all of my own baking, including bread, which I have made for the whole 16 years. We’ve been married, but I love this as an addition T. And it is so funny that you would mention that grabber because my husband just bought me one today. Well, I hope you have a great weekend and thanks again. As always, the video was beautiful, relaxing and informative. God bless.

All great tips. I have a rolling cart like the black one on your video. I use it for cutting my trips back and forth from my vehicle to the A Frame in half. They tend to pack the bags too heavy for me to carry far no matter how much you ask them not to and you give them more bags than needed. So into the cart they go. I've been getting my groceries delivered lately since the Walmart here added the option. OMG! I love it! I spend less. Keeps me out of the book and yarn area. LOL I only shop twice a month as I order in bulk a lot. So when the delivery person shows up I offer them the cart and they love it.
@asimpleseason26165 ай бұрын
Great point, Juanita...I've often thought if I'd save more money by having groceries delivered...sometimes, though I do find some amazing discounts by being in the store for a flash sale...delivery might be good for some weeks when you really need to not be tempted by extras :)

Cordless is great for daily vacuuming. It saves my back, it is easier to grab and do, and I have had one that is a dustbuster type that detaches from the stick for those places the whole thing would be clumsy or can’t fit.

I also use my mop to clean kitchen cupboards and kitchen base boards. I can’t always get down on knees and scrub the kitchen and entryway floor so mop and steam mop if I want a deeper clean. Thank u for the idea of washing liquid in the toilet cistern will give it ago. I also have bloo tabs in my cistern and it seems to help with limescale as do toilet tabs and one every other week or so I use pink foaming toilet cleaner x

Great video, Lisa! We recently bought brushes that attach to a power drill for cleaning our showers and they work fabulously! My tub is the cleanest it's ever been! Also, the long tongs you showed are great for squeezing lemons. Put the lemon back from the end of the tongs to where it will fit comfortably and squeeze the tongs together. Great for those of us getting older..... Blessings, Janet

I have , and love, a Shark cordless electric sweeper and we love it. One of the features that I love is at the push of a button, the handle bends in half so I can easily get under furniture with no bending. I can just run it around our home in must a few minutes for a quick clean. I also have a heavier duty shark vacuum. My Mom taught me years ago to wash as you go when cooking, especially for big holiday meals. It makes the final clean up so much easier. Have a Happy Mother's Day Lisa ! 🥰🌷💐🌷🌞🌛💗✝

A valid question...I'm speculating but I think people were giving their attention to fewer things (as in fewer physical things as well as fewer tasks), there also was no mindless scrolling for hours or netflix etc...talking on the phone with someone for 10 or 15 minutes was a nice social break :)
