I made this and it's wayyy too sweet. I would suggest to put 1 cup of sugar in the cake mixture instead of two cups. You can always adjust sweetness with the frosting. Apart from that, the cake texture came out very well.

I haven't cooked in a long time but after seeing the coconut cake recipe and the lemon curd recipe I decided to try to make it! The cake is out of the oven and looks very good. I've made the lemon curd for between the layers and will make the frosting in the morning and put this coconut cake with lemon curd between the layers together. So far I am so impressed with the ease of the directions and with the video it was a breeze to make. I am so happy with the results. THANK YOU! ❤

This look's like the "Daisy Coconut Cake"! But likely much more delicious and obviously less costly. The Daisy cake is a great alternative if you cannot or don't elect to bake it yourself!
