You can have slightly higher DPS if you use NN-14 Neutron cannons on the nose and NDB-26 Neutron repeaters on the wings. You can also have significantly higher shield capacity with the same regen speed if you just use 2 FR-66 shields.

Hey man! Loved the video, may yoink your enthusiasm; I do have something to note though about Erkul. It's a great BASE* for what your ship can* do. But just building a ship based on DPS doesn't actually provide you with 'The best' version of that ship. A true pilot who understands their own flight style should chose weapons based on that. You should also consider your opponent. I now pretty much exclusively use some type of Laser Cannon, often just the one but sometimes more - combined with ballistics. This is because the laser cannons destroy shields and can engage at greater distances with greater accuracy, they also provide high Alpha* damage which assist in overall obliteration of the target when those shields are down and the ballistics can deal their full potential.

@@CaptainBerks Oh I didn't misunderstand man dw, loved the video. But People get very focused on this sort of stuff and it tends to ruin the experience of the game. Everyone goes around using the same erkul calculated stuff. I did a shiz load of tests with size ones, mostly on the HAWK and TANA because they each can have 6 guns. But again I found - contrary to erkul - that M series lasers got me kills a lot faster and more efficiently than other weapons. against targets like BUC's and other common player fighter crafts. And then to add to my point, Ballistics are an essential kit on any ship IMP because at the end of the day, when you are up against a CAT doing some bounty mission for pennies, the only thing that will punch through size 3's with your size 1 ships is a Ballistic gun.

I have a question, I got a new Origin 315P and I got the XC loadout which has (Power Plant = Deltamax, Cooler = Vapor Block, Quantum = Siren) and it has 823 in the fuel tank. I like to do box runs but cant get across the system without refueling. Are there components that will make my fuel more efficient and give me the ability to jump across the system without refueling?

Any reason you didn't pull gimbals off an Aurora to gimbal the wings as well? Except for having to buy an Aurora first for ~200k as long as rental is bugged.. Also, the cooling seems to be limited by the cooler as well as the weapons, check hardpoint.io for details on overheat times.

I just finished kitting out my hornet yesterday, and yes I bought the bugged power source and messed around with it for like an hour before I figured out what the problem was. Any recommendations on loadout for that? Mostly I'm debating what to use for the size 4 gimballed gun. Also ty for the tips about mixing shields, I currently have 2 palisades on it but now I think I will explore some combo options.

Quickest way in the Titan is box delivery missions. Start at Crusader/PO, accept every mission going to Hurston and its moons (except Lorville). Pick them all up, fly across and deliver them. Then do the same for a return trip. You can get 6-8 boxes per trip worth 6000/9500 each. Upgrade to the Burst QT drive (13k @ arccorp) when you get the cash. It's the fastest drive that can make it in one jump. Combat option is to accept call to arms mercenary mission, then do CS3/CS4 bounty missions at Hurston. Kill the bounty target first and you'll get extra for the rest from the call to arms.

@@Furiousky Go to Contracts->Accepted. Select a mission then hit the Track button. It shows where to pick it up. Then once you've collected it, it puts a marker on the box and its destination. So Track each one for the pickup phase, then again for the delivery phase. You'll often get a couple missions to either pick up or deliver to the same location so keep an eye out for that.

@@Furiousky Go to Contract Manager->General->Delivery. Look for Covalex ones that pay 6000. Or FTL Courier ones that pay 8925 (usually only get 1-2 FTL boxes per trip). They will only show when you're in Crusader, Hurston or ArcCorp jurisdiction zones. There usually aren't many to/from ArcCorp and the trip is longer which is why I recommend going between Crusader and Hurston.

Depends on what you are looking for, you can google each component to find what space station or city sells that particular item. They are also cheaper at some locations than others. The website to build ships is key. Don't get the distortion lasers though, apparently they are working outside of the arena.
