Chocolate ganache recipe:
60 grams white chocolate
30 grams regular cream / whipping cream
combine the 2 ingredients in a bowl and zap in the microwave at 10 - 15 second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
I let mine sit in the freezer for 10 mins, stirring every so often until it reached a thick, spreadable consistency.
Thank you for watching! I hope this proved useful. If you do decide to try out stenciling, tag me on instagram, I love seeing your creations! I'm @rosiesdessertspot on instagram.

Hi how comes you use the white choc ganache before applying the gold dust? Can I just apply the gold directly on the fondant?

Thank you very much for sharing your creativity.. I have one question if you don't mind. Is it possible to substitute alcohol with another liquid ? Thanks again!
@Rosiesdessertspot
@Rosiesdessertspot 9 жыл бұрын
UpsideDown211 Sorry for the late reply! The reason I use alcohol is because it evaporate quickly, whereas water or other liquids tend not to dry off as quickly and can cause the decoration to become messy. Although since this cookie is using chocolate ganache (or buttercream works too), you could always skip the alcohol step and just add the powder directly onto the ganache. The ganache is soft and sticky before it sets up so that should work all the same. let me know how it goes!

Hi Rosie.. u mix the luster with alcohol right..? beside alcohol.. any liquid can be mix with the luster..?
@Rosiesdessertspot
@Rosiesdessertspot 9 жыл бұрын
Hey +eqy rezeil, aside from alcohol you can use flavouring extract that is alcohol based (alcohol evaporates and leaves behind the luster colour, whereas water for example would take much longer to dry and can get messy)

Can I replace alcohol with water ? Or why can I replace it with??
@Rosiesdessertspot
@Rosiesdessertspot 9 жыл бұрын
+mashael mohd unfortunately water would give you the same effect. Alcohol evaporates quickly so it leaves behind just the gold paint look.. If you use water it becomes messy and won't dry as quickly ad it smudges easily as well. Alcohol woul dbe the way to go. People also used flavoured extracts, but they are also alcohol based.

Hi +Nadira Uddin, rosewater will do the trick as well :) I would stray away from water as it doesn't dry as quickly and the colours often bleed with water.

These can be stored in airtight containers or even in zip log bags for about a week. The fondant will dry up pretty quickly, using half a day or so.

Is the decoration eatable
@Rosiesdessertspot
@Rosiesdessertspot 9 жыл бұрын
Claudy Johnson yes, the luster dust / paint is edible :) some say edible, some say 100% edible. the ones that aren't 100% edible just means that your body doesn't digest it, but it's meant to be non-toxic.
