čevapi!!!! When I was visiting Croatia I ate that a lot. My Croatian friend brought me to 'the best cevapi in Zagreb' - which actually might be Bosnian, but it was closed. Ate it elsewhere, but still sinfully tasty.

I like Mato and Tomas. But I wish these videos could go slower (between the interviews, they could slow down and repeat , with the subtitles, what was said. I don't even have time to repeat, to practice. As it is the only thing easy about this "Easy Croatian" is if you already know Croatian. But i like this channel. I hope M & T can re-do with a little slow repetition and explanation.

You should just pause a lot. In my opinion we learn best from real conversations, instead of just listening to super simple sentences :p You can also slow down the video in settings, but it will sound strange.

Do you think that if I where to go to Montenegro, would the people there understand me? Because I know Montenegro has their own language called Montenegrin and that language is very similar to Croatian. Would they understand me well there?

Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian and Montenegrian is a pliricentric language like English. Most linguists say that Montenegrian is ijekavian Serbian like the Serbian in Bosnia and Hercegovina.

My experience is really good. They're really nice people but still very polite, you don't have the feeling you're in a country where everybody speaks to you like they're your family, which I personally like. It's like a perfect mix of polite and friendly - I like them.

it would be gramatically correct to say "pita od jabuka" because of the plural (they probably used more than one apple when making the pie), but I think people would more likely say "pita od jabuke". so it's good whatever you choose :)

Vijendra Sharma I agree! I like the videos and the sound of the language but it is far too fast for people who haven‘t got an idea of the language yet. I am trying to catch the englisch subtitles simultaniously ... still very little chance to follow the croatian words. Might sound unusual to the interwieved people on the street but could you ask them to speak „half speed“? And yourself too? Would be really helpful and worth the title „EASY croatian“. Thanx!

@lucawolf7395 Please go back to school. It's not the same language, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation are different. And for me personally, the most important thing is the grammar, if you want to say that it is not the same language: And the croatian grammar isn't really that similiar to the serbian one (for example: Serbian people would say "Ja idem da kupim", croatian people would say "Ja idem kupit' ", altough it's written "Ja idem kupiti", but also forming the questions isn't the same, as well as the usage of"-ije"/"-je"(Croatian)/"-e"(Serbian), for example "mlijeko" on croatian and "mleko" on serbian.) Serbs also prefer to use the Cyrillic alphabet, while Croatia uses the Latin one. Please go educate yourself about languages as you don't seem to know a lot about them ...
