I mean you could really do anything you wanted. Frogs come in lots of colours. If you don't have green you could do turquoise, blue, purple, orange even.

when making the arms, what stitches do you crochet into after the 5 sc on the magic loop?

Hi, I just single crocheted into all 5 sts over and over again until I got to 2.5 inches. It's a little tight, but you can do it. I went through both loops of the stitch if that is what you were asking.
