First off dude, your hair looks amazing Just a bit of insight, you said your hair dries in like an hour. Some of us with curly hair (even with way less hair and often times more), our hair takes 5hours+ to air dry. Porosity plays a MAJOOORR role in product steps If product isn't evenly distributed in each strand in awesome with very low porosity hair (likely the girl you were referencing)... it's a nightmare through the day as it dries with uneven cast. And if someone has extremely high porosity, the hair can't hold moisture and needs special techniques You seem to be blessed with normal porosity hair (based on drying time) or at least less complicated hair. I love your method though, as i do it. But when had hair down my entire back, those videos woth all the intricate details were the only way i could have hair that was nice Dope hair though, i wish i had it haha

@guitagious94645 жыл бұрын
Hi Nathan! I am trying to grow my hair out like I had it years ago, and I have the same issue you have... can't blow dry it like people with normal hair because it will frizz up, and even using a diffuser makes it frizz as well. One thing I do is use a small, lower output, hairdryer. But before using it the first time, I cover a lot of the air inlet screen with frog tape, or masking tape - not completely covering it, but covering enough of it to reduce the air blast, and then use it only on "low" every time. But I NEVER blow dry it all the way. I simply apply a little heat to the unruly areas. I mostly just finger style it trying to make the curls more pronounced. But first I add a small amount of American Crew styling gel and gently comb it through. This will help the curls stay together without getting frizzed apart. Another thing I should mention... I do not use shampoo every day. Only about twice per week, because using it everyday will really dry the hair out and make it more likely to frizz. All the other days I just wet it in the shower, gently squeegee it out with my hands, and then apply conditioner and let it do it's magic while I shower for about 8 to 10 minutes. I then rinse it out with warm - not hot - water. I do NOT towel dry it EVER, because the friction of scrubbing it with a towel will also make it frizzy, and can actually damage it. So I gently comb the tangles out, starting at the bottom and working upwards. Something new I am about to try is a light, dry, oil called Argan oil. If I understand correctly, people like us with curly hair prone to frizz, should try 2 or 3 drops rubbed between our palms and then, using our fingers, comb it through our damp (not wet) hair. Then kind of finger style again, twisting and scrunching it as we apply warm air if necessary. In theory, it should tame the frizz and add shine and softness without weighing it down. I have a bottle of it on order from Amazon. I will give it a try and hopefully let you know the results. Hang in there, dude!!
