As a Kid 60 years ago I made a boat anchor in a similar fashion, however I drilled three holes in the bucket and added 3 stainless steel carriage bolts in the side of a two gallon bucket and pretty much the same for the line attach point with a big washer at the bottom of the eyelet and a bolt. 😁🛫
