You are always on the point. Telling us only important information, I suffer watching other KZbinrs that don't have any content and try really hard to fill their time for hours until they finally come with their information and it is not even what I need. Thanks goodness for fast forward option. In this case I cannot miss a minute of what you are saying, all of it is important. Thanks!

Aaaaadorable! I am tempted to add another small panel up the front and add grommets with laces 🤔 oooor sew the front closed and have grommets and lacing just on the hips with relief panels behind it . Oooohhhh... 🥰

beginner question - why finish the edges? a lot of the patterns I'm looking at don't include that step and I don't have a serger so im curious :)
@SewAnastasia10 ай бұрын
Well you don’t want it to fall apart when you wear it & wash it. You’ll be covered in fraying fabric & you risk the garment falling apart. If it doesn’t have enough fabric in the seam allowance that’s sturdy the seam will rip!

That yellow one has just a hint of a shine, that from a distance, it almost looks like leather.

Hi! I love your videos since they’re incredibly helpful and I have a few questions that I hope you can answer. When creating the pattern to cut the fabric with, should I add seam allowance onto the pattern then cut it or should I trace the pattern onto the fabric then add the seam allowance? I see most people trace the pattern with the seam allowance but how would they know where to seam should be? Many thanks for your videos ❤

This pattern already has 1/2 inch seam allowance in it. So cut it out as is & when you sew you need to line the edge of your fabric up with the 1/2 inch on your machine plate. If you don’t have lines on your plate I can put tape on it or get a magnetic seam guide. Hope that helps 🩷

How would you draft a pattern like this to perfectly fit your body shape?
@SewAnastasia Жыл бұрын
You would use your sloper skirt to draft from or you could sew up a muslin in this skirt a size too big & tailor it to you & make the adjustments to your pattern. Hope that helps :)
