This set of vids is incredible. I was considering getting moducase, but the cost of just ONE of these is like 1/4th of what I'd spend on moducases. Couple that with my 3D printer and I could do all kinds of amazing stuff with this build. Gotta show these vids to my homies.

I had a rare good youtube recommendation on my frontpage that lead me to your video series on how to build a garage shelf and I highly enjoyed your videos! I just moved recently, and I used to have my whole collection crammed in a pair of detolf but they are pretty fragile and I really wanted to move into more solid displays. I've been struggling with what kind of bookshelf to use (I do like me some IKEA billies but with glass doors they tend to need to be mounted to the walls and I'm renting...) those garage shelves really look incredible! I'm not sure yet if I have the space for one, but it's definitely opened up my mind on the possibilities for display. I also love the lower cost, the customizability(?) and I love how much weight they can hold! No risk of exploding glass here! I also really want to build dioramas for my figures someday and I think these shelves would be perfect. Honestly they also seem like an interesting option for holding artbook collections, with how heavy they are! Anyway, Just wanted to thank you for sharing the process on youtube! It was super interesting and very well explained!

There's a solution to increasing the size and weight capacity of the wooden shelves by simply adding legs made of wooden dowel rods somewhere in the middle, you can paint them and they'll probably blend with the rest of the interior or be simply hidden by placing figures in front of them.

Thank you so much! It can easily hold as many 1/6 scale figures as you want to put on there. But I don't have an exact weight that it can withstand. At some point today I'll put some dumbbells on it and see what it can hold and I'll let you know. What were you thinking about putting on the shelf?

What do you plan on putting on the shelf? I haven't tested a 12-in shelf but I feel like you could put as many hot toys figures on it as you could fit. It's very stable. The t-brackets also come in 5-in by 5-in and that will increase the stability for holding things on the shelf. Thank you for watching! I'm glad you like the video.

I think I would probably put around 15-20lbs on it, so kind of alot. It would be 1/6 scale figures that have a base on them.
