Interesting video. I use painters tape to make templates all the time. May take 100 small pieces, but it works.

Maybe next time try running 4 screws so they slightly protrude through the front of the drawer box. Next, position your drawer front and hit it with your hand. You will then have 4 perfectly positioned marks on the back of your drawer front to drill your pilot holes.

A secret drawer to my side of the nightstand would definitely make a good addition 😁 On another note 5 day's of Fwy closer on the 210 bet that's making it miserable 😖 on your commutes let alone the backlog of traffic.

Luckily (or not depending on how you look at it), my shifts often don't start at the usual times for others, so I can often avoid rush hours. But, yeah, it sure does suck when I can't.
