Edit: 2 year update! I still recommend this flooring, just not for areas with moisture for a long term solution. We wanted our floors to last about 2 years before we installed real tile, and that's exactly the time frame they lasted us. One of our dogs has accidents and we noticed it was going under some of the tiles after a couple years. So if you have this in a dry area (bedroom, living room, etc) it should be just fine. But consider the room you are putting it in, as it is not waterproof. I would do it again in a heartbeat as this was not a permanent solution for us. If you plan on using it long term just avoid rooms that may have spills or standing water like a bathroom or kitchen. In the areas that were not affected by moisture the floor still looked as good as day 1. Hope that helps! _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ I just want to give an update and a tip! It's been a few months and the tiles still look awesome! I get a lot of questions about if I can see the grout lines from the tile sinking in, and the answer to that is no - at least not yet! Hopefully I won't run into that, but a subscriber recommended to fill the grout lines with floor patch or caulking before laying down to prevent that in the future. If this is a long term solution and you don't want to replace in a few years I would definitely take that step first! Hope that helps :)

You can also tape the grout lines 😉
@ricardoasuncion34624 жыл бұрын
@@bongrippa420 hi, what do you mean by taping it? Just tape the grout lines with any type? Or something specific? And what is the point of taping the grout?
@bongrippa4204 жыл бұрын
@@ricardoasuncion3462 Painters tape would work best. It's so it's makes the floor level. Also if you end up on a line with one of your boards
@311mdub4 жыл бұрын
You should have gotten a self leveling concrete and float over the tile so it levels the floor, because without leveling it, the wood/vinyl will crack and with the grout lines over time you’ll start seeing those thru the floor.. caulk is too much time and won’t last like concrete, and all of your tiles aren’t going to be level, so you will get bumps and humps in the wood..
@msbabe633 жыл бұрын
@@311mdub I noticed the floor adhesive appears as if it filled the grout lines. Do u think I can use that to do the levelling while doubling as extra adhesive or should I still use the floor leveling patch first then apply the adhesive?

Very nice. When installing flooring one should always begin with the outside wall first because it's the straightest wall especially if you don't have a line to follow, but in your case you had the tile line. Also painting the baseboards first is the general rule before flooring. When renovating a room, you start with ceiling, then the walls and flooring is last.
