I also made mine. I followed their instructions and used the lavender along with the blood orange. The lavender was too strong, so I added lemon. Next time I will follow your advice and add just the blood orange. I put mine in with the detergent because I have a front loader. I use unscented detergent, so it added a nice smell. I use the wool laundry balls to eliminate static in the dryer. I really like the essential oil kits and can’t wait to get this months. 😃. Thank you for introducing them to us. Cindi

SimplyJoyful This concoction produces hard water, releasing magnesium sulfate. Magnesium reacts with residual soaps and water softeners. It should be avoided.

Hi Kelly! Great receipe! Thank you! When using essential oils you will want to use metal instead of plastic. The oils transfers into the plastics, and you cant get the oils out.

Diy laundry soap is cheap and keeps your laundry soft. Insects hate peppermint so I use it in summer to repel insects in the diy salt fabric softener.

Years ago I had read in a magazine that if you do a light wash of brand new dark or bright colored clothing and use salt that it would help set the color and help prevent bleeding of colors. It never occurred to me to use epson salt.... I use tea tree oil in ours because it helps disinfect/odor control, because I have to use allergy free soaps and I can be a bit germafobic. Lol.
