I’ve been using Turmeric for years in my teas and food, it’s a wonderful herb. I’m happy that I came across your terrific video a week ago. I decided to try making the soap, well I didn’t do something right 😂 I ordered Shea Butter as my base, I couldn’t get it to melt. Will you please advise me as to what I did incorrectly? I did the double broiler method using a glass bowl. I’ll appreciate your feedback. Thanks, for sharing your inspiring video 😊
@michelletalbot16463 жыл бұрын
Malinda hi Malinda when you say you used the she butter base and did the double boiler method did you use a she butter melt and pour base? Or just the Shea butter? Because to do soap you need Shea butter soap base and to microwave or cook over the stove to melt completely. If you’re doing body butter then you just use Shea butter in a double boiler method with whatever additives you want and hit the fridge for a bit then whip it up. It sounds like you did the directions for Shea butter body butter but expected the soap consistency. I hope this helps and you don’t take offense just trying to help ☺️

Hi Malinda! I'm happy to hear that you have been enjoying Turmeric for years and I'm sorry that your first attempt at the melt and pour did not work out, but it seems that the Shea butter might not be an actual soap base and rather the actual oil?? @@GROWingInLov3 ok thanks , why is it that the soap used is hard to dissolve on heat?
@GROWingInLov3Ай бұрын
Hi friend! From what I've heard the asanti soap base can be difficult to melt due to its high glycerin content, solid oils, or natural additives like shea butter or essential oils. These ingredients raise the melting point, requiring a slow and steady melting process at low heat to prevent burning or clumping. Additionally, overcooking can cause the soap to lose moisture, making it harder and less pliable during the melting process. Hope you find this information helpful 🙂
