Nice video, really well explained and executed also, there are several ways to improve it. Right now this kit is just another Brompton e-bike kit similar than the ones you can buy on Aliexpress, it is not offering anything special. Furthermore your logo is very similar than the Challenge Tires

@ most Brompton E-bike kits have the battery in a saddle bag, If you like to get a constructive feedback about your kit let me know. The room for improvement is noticeably. I own an after market E-Brompton with a custom kit designed between my and an e-bike kit manufacturer.. Good luck!!!!

Where is the controller? Is it in the top/bottom of the battery/battery holder? Do you have to download an app to act as a monitor/speedometer? Also, you state the wheel as disc/V-brake compatible but show a picture of a brake disc & then a racing brake caliper (your Fixie bike has the racing brake caliper fitted). Also, do you have any trade prices/minimum order as I own a busy bike repair shop in Middlesbrough, UK. Cheers! Ian @ On Yer' Bike!

How does the motor controller know when to apply power when it has no pedal crank cadence sensor? In the UK where I am, a thumb throttle is currently illegal also, as it is for many EU countries.

The assist system is based on the speed, acceleration, the slope of the road, and the assist level that you set in the APP or the optional wireless display, calculating out the power you need. The motor will kick in when the speed reaches 5km/h. When you make a little bit more effort on pedaling, the system will sense the increasement of the speed and help you with more power. On contrary when you brake, the system can sense the decrease of speed and reduce the power or shutdown the motor. And thanks to the gyroscope built in the controller, it will also increase the power when you go uphill and shut down the motor when go downhill.

The throttle can also be removed, so the kit will be legal to ride in UK&EU. 😀
