this was exactly my issue up to about a month ago when I finally realized how to move hands/wrists to keep face closed. It's amazing the difference!!

Yes man! Between having my wrists bowed like I would with my irons and and not rotating and finishing my swing I was hitting some killer slices. Now that I know the feeling of getting the face more square and firing my hips helping to finish the swing, finally I can step up and not feel like I need to aim way left. 🤣

I’ve struggled with a push slice ever since I came back to golf a few years ago. Have focused very hard on the fundamentals like grip, take away, etc but haven’t been able to eliminate except for wedges. I contend it is because I’m left handed playing right handed and my right arm is just on for the ride. Finally see in this video what work the right arm needs to contribute. Thank for the detailed explanation.

Regarding the issue of the open club face. Does the initial grip taken ie weak neutral or strong have a role to play?

Yes… but it does also have to consider other factors… I get a shut club face and need a weaker left hand grip. If I go stronger in toast

Do you manipulate the club head to face down a little and then swing normally thru

Sometimes that’s a feel… not always. Depends on the shots or the swing you feel

Exactly my driver swing. I have the worst driver swing of any 12 handicapper in the world. 170 yd weak fades . . . . I'm only 12 because I have a 5 handicapper's short game! I've tried the turning the wheel thing but it is far too risky for me . . . if you swing a fraction slow it goes miles left as the face has closed too early. At least my pathetic 170 yd slap stays in play!
