I had the same issue. My nephew who is a golf pro came to town two weeks ago and gave me a 2 minute lesson that pretty much fixed my slice. He just told me to picture a nail in the ball at 7:00 that points to 1:00. When I swing, try to drive the nail. First time out started to hit the ball straighter but direction was off. A lot of shots to the left. Once I trusted the swing and aimed center, started hitting the ball straight and on target with driver and irons. Played in 27 holes outing 9 days later and hit the fairway or green on 24 of 27 holes. I didn’t change anything else on my swing. Try it and trust it.

When I watch KZbin video’s from different teaching pro’s there’s one topic witch dazzles me. When I throw a ball only with my arms the ball will not go far however when I use my wrists I can give the ball much more energy and it goes far. BUT……. Tom Saguto tells you don’t use your wrist and Pete Cowen tells you using your hands and wrists will always lead to inconsistency, Mike Malaska says speed comes 90% from your hands and wrist…... So I am completely lost. Do I use my wrist or not and if I use them where do they come in?? Danny can you make a video about this topic ? I think many many golfers would greatly appreciate that.

Danny, Danny, Danny. You friend does EVERYTHING I do! I know my faults but NO ONE could help me. Yes, I’ve taken lessons but no good. I hit the ball 300 yards and 280 when I get it right {once in a blue moon} Now I’m lucky to get 240. On my last round I messed up 4 holes with the driver. My irons are sublime, so I was going to get a driving iron. Came across this and went immediately to the range. No joke, I was smashing them straight down the middle…. EVERY-TIME and out of sight. I kept changing my shots, then back to the driver and still the same. Kept checking the driver face and ball coming out of the middle. I have the Paradym and it never sounded better of the face. This routine is simple to repeat. I know feel I’ve stacks of room and don’t have to come over the top. I really do owe you a beer. I’m buzzing and can’t wait to see my mates faces! 💥🏌🏻

For the coaches, When you’re educating, you constantly show people what they are doing wrong. Does that “improper practice” ever creep in to your play?
@DanielMaude
@DanielMaude 2 жыл бұрын
It’s very important to know both sides of the spectrum. By knowing what you are doing wrong, more importantly experiencing what you are doing wrong and then knowing what to do to fix it….it’s easier to have a frame work to work within.

Great video I was doing a lineup with my body only, and when you bend your left knee down inside a litte bit, both your underbody and your shoulders will point to the right naturally... Is that a good idea as a routine?
@DanielMaude
@DanielMaude Жыл бұрын
Not sure you need to do that in order to align the body Tom. If you stand up tall for a second and face a wall. Check your body alignment. It should be inline. Now simply bend over from there

Danny can you tell me if this is right with my swing? On the backswing I start it by pulling the driver back with my trail arm about 10 or 12 degrees. Then I use my lead arm to bring it all the way up to about 95 degrees. Next on the downswing I am using the lead arm generating speed bringing it down and then having momentum I snap my trail wrist at the very last second before impacting the ball. My attack angle is around -3 or -4 degrees. I am having trouble hitting up. If I get the attack angle just barely above zero I am doing good. With the negative attack angle I am able to generate a ball speed about 135 mph and a swing speed about 93 mph. I notice when I try hitting up I mean with an attack angle of just over 0 my swing speed is then only around 87mph. I know I shud have an attack angle like 3 or 4 to the plus but just can’t seem to generate a swing speed over 90, but with the negative attack angle I can. Anyhow that’s how I get my ball speed up around 135mph. Just wondered if I am doing the swing right.

Feels are very different for us all so it’s difficult to say whether it’s right or wrong. The best thing to do is use something that measures speed and test different things
