hey excellent explanation, the only thing that i found is somewhat wrong, is in the tilde section, when wanting to remap the key its not on the extend section, but rather on the menus and system section, otherwise the interface is very well explained

(blender 3.5) needs to have the most updated version of bother hardOps and boxcutter

Thank you for the great tutorial. Really helped me to kickstart on Hops and Boxcutter. I also bought your GA2 course. Hope to improve my HardSurface skills. I have one question though. I am using Blender 2.93 as it has LTS. But in the video you mentioned that always to work with latest Blender Version, so does that mean those new features/optimisations would not be available for 2.93 version?

The course involves hops and bc so i d suggest latest blender and latest addon versions. You can have multiple blender versions installed, and 2.93 and 3.0 will not share config folders, so addon settings can be separate as well. Our UV Assist addon was also built for 3.0, so get latest v of blender.. LTs means nothing to me, i use what works. Grab Power Save addon and laugh at blender crashes, if any.

When using box cutter when I cut an area I can get it to the point where the dots appear to edit the cut but when I press enter or click it doens't cut. Just gives me two cubes with no faces.

cant help you much because i dont see it, but first make sure you update the bc. if that doesnt help you should try either hops discord or bb discord

Following along here, but your get a list of functions when you press "shift H", but when I do it, everything disappears. Shift H is acting like H for hide. I guess that latest version has changed "shift H" to something else. Could you make a video using the latest version of Hardops, and of course Boxcutter.

shift h is a blender shortcut, it has nothing to do with versions. h to hide, alt h to unhide and shift h to hide all that is not selected. grab our jumpstart course, it will help you with the basics.

Hi, I recently came across and decided to get hardops/boxcutter while attempting to create hard surface models for a game I like playing. I have a software eng background but completely new to 3D Modelling, what would be your recommendation to learn concepts while also learning hopscutter, thank you for your work!

Concepts as in design ideas? Start building your visual library. Art Station would be a good place to start. Screenshots from scifi games are great refs too.

I didn't no what happening with me when I use cutter nd after applying , it creates lattice modifier and not cutting properly one more problem it automatically changes extrude mode to draw , please help🙏

It would seem that your boxcutter is haunted. Have you tried reaching out to Ed and Lorraine Warren?

I don't know why, when i use boxcutter, the boolean are not recalculate, even when I do "ctrl + shift" on Sharpen option... The only way for include new geometry in my sharpen is To apply my boolean... So i can't work non destrucrively.

you recalculate sharp edges, not bools
