We don't know what was said off camera, but at gun shows, I've never seen or even heard of sales happening like this. Everyone knows that a felony is potentially happening if the buyer is from out of state, the buyer definitely knows. Regardless. Depending on what was said through the whole conversation, if everything in this news program is true, the buyers committed 4 felonies. Most crimes by way of firearm are committed with .22 pistols. No main stream media outlet is telling anyone that though. They concentrate on black rifles which are used in less crimes than pretty much any other firearm. The gang crime statistics are hardly even aired as mass shootings because they see it as 'business as usual' and you can't cause an uproar on the news about it. CNN is full of poop and your head is lodged in CNN's booty pipes.

Assuming all is as presented in this video, it proves very little. If state law permits private sales without a background check, then that's legal. If the state requires an ID check, then the transaction would have been illegal. BREAKING THE LAW ISN't a loophole lol; it's just criminal activity. A loophole would be a legal way to circumvent the law. This proves nothing other than the laws aren't enforced well at times. Excuse me.......isn't private sale of any legal item 'private'? Especially when the transaction is in a private place? Is there any thing in the US Constitution that prohibits private sales of anything? If a state makes laws that are not Constitutional are we bound to comply? This country is founded on freedom but just about the only freedom is a liberty to commit crimes.
@travisgrizzard84536 жыл бұрын
@@mwm1960 ~ It is a Federal felony to buy a rifle or shotgun outside the buyer's home state unless the seller is an FFL dealer or the non FFL seller ships the long arm to an FFL in the buyer's home state. The only way to legally buy a handgun outside the buyer's home state is for the seller, FFL or not, to send the firearm to an FFL in the buyer's home state.

@@travisgrizzard8453 Does anyone who intends to get a gun to use for committing crime care if it's a Federal felony? Private transfer of anything can occur in private. "Unversal" background check laws only restrict those who choose to obey them. Most states do not require gun registration & compliance with private sale restrictions yields disrespect and low compliance of those restrictions. As most Americans have firm opinions of self defense there will be no federal registrations leading to confiscation of guns. The 2nd A. was ratified to prevent governments limiting citizen self defense.

Robert Slackware lowering the price of something that is potentially dangerous makes it more accessible to anyone. They raised taxes on things like alcohol to prevent binge drinking and alcoholism and the harm it has on healthcare and people. It’s necessary. In order to move on and learn from our actions we must take precautions for the 1% of idiots that use things incorrectly.
@oliplaysbass6 жыл бұрын
Robert Slackware cigarettes are very harmful. Even more so to those around the person smoking. Ask any scientist doctor, no reference to the government. Not just cancer but the damage to your lungs and arteries, teeth as well as being highly addictive. That’s not an argument you can win because your grandma smoked and lived a long time. I don’t know what car you drive but I can tell you that that’s bollocks. Your mileage depends on the amount of revs and how much your car is working. 100mph might very get more mileage if you’re doing a long journey in high gears than driving 30 in a city centre in low gears but high gear long distance driving at 70 would inevitably get you better mileage and also be much safer should you have to brake sharply because of any accidents. All the government can do to stop something that is an issue in society such as guns, drugs, alcohol is either ban them or increase taxes on them. This makes it less accessible to people and as a result we live in a safer place. Drugs & gun crime can have a drastic effect on society, communities and those around them that are being influenced and make poor choices. If one person gets involved in drugs and crime, unless they have zero friends/family/contacts it inevitably affects those around them which is a selfish act and should be prevented when possible for the well-being of everyone.
@oliplaysbass6 жыл бұрын
Robert Slackware I meant scientist OR doctor. At the moment, your poorly researched statements aren’t convincing me sadly. If you can prove to me using detailed research that a) smoking isn’t harmful to the body and does not lead to lung cancer through either first and second hand use. B) driving faster is not only more fuel efficient but safer than driving slower, then I will take your points seriously.
@oliplaysbass6 жыл бұрын
the issue isn't the speed. the issue is if you have to stop you have to take into account reaction and stopping distance. if someone pulls out in front of you without indicating (and it happens a lot in the US), if you're going 100mph or more, they might not see you coming, maybe someone walks in front of the car going at that speed, they would be merely a splatter on the pavement. going 100mph you would need 720 feet stopping distance if you add reaction time and stopping distance driving at that speed. driving at 70mph it would be 399 feet, which is still large but may save lives in comparison. arachnoid.com/lutusp/auto.html facts are there. you'd be surprised on smaller differences in stopping distance like between 30mph and 33mph. there's quite a drastic difference. when it comes to getting better mileage, also.. once it gets past a speed, you use considerably more fuel. unless you drive an aston martin or ferrarri which is designed to be driven at high speeds, you aren't going to get better mileage driving faster. it's like saying you'll be less out of breath if you sprinted a mile compared to walking. eartheasy.com/move_fuel_efficient_driving.html I didn't get the 11th bullet reference I'm afraid, I'm from the UK. Science is constantly being proven wrong by new research. Doctors recommended smoking until years passed and they realised it is actually bad for you. www.cdc.gov/tobacco/data_statistics/fact_sheets/health_effects/effects_cig_smoking/index.htm

If you want to make me believe that they actually did it that fast then show the whole thing, whats 70 seconds to show? There could have been a part where they filled out a form/background check and they cut it out, we don't know, plus how many times were they (or were they not) shut down and unable to buy a gun? 2) Once the gun is purchased its not "untraceable" if the gun is used in the crime its still traceable to its previous owners and I doubt they'd want to put themselves at that risk.

If you worked with someone to acquired a gun when you know you shouldn't have one, you might have week morals. If the court system wasn't rigged so poorly for men, there may not have been as much a reason to be eaten up by the divorce and it's reprocutions. Erik Romero no but I can just as easily take my car and run over 50 people then you would call that a tool for killing too huh. guns are tools for putting food on the table and defense I tell you what if you think you're going to get my guns you got a whole lot of lead coming your way first. #banidiotsnotguns

Gage Maynard what is your point? Even if I was going to be mugged at gun point I don't need an AR15 to defend myself. Guns like those are meant to kill as many people as fast as possible. Not for self defense.
@Erikitosuave6 жыл бұрын
Gage Maynard what the fuck? Are you slow? No, AR-15s should not be allowed for civilian purchase under any circumstances. Shotguns, and pistols also shoot why can't you use those?
@Erikitosuave6 жыл бұрын
Gage Maynard what the fuckkkk?¿? Invaded by who? The United States has the largest military ever created in human history. We spend more on defense than the next 10 countries combined. Most of which are allies of the United States. Stop living in a paranoid stupor and snap back to reality. Children are being murdered by weapons of war. The United States is the only country where mass shootings happen on a weekly basis and dumbasses like you don't want to do anything to stop them.

This was called a “Private sale” for the un knowledgeable CNN reporters. A private sale is legal and you don’t have to perform any type of background checks or anything. A few facts about private sales is that the seller is not a license gun dealer and does not have to abide buy FLL rules. He’s a person who bought a gun and is selling his own gun.

juanjoseantoniopedro yeah and the terrorits bought the truck he rammed 14 people with through a well regulated dealership.. laws don’t stop criminals.. that’s why there criminals

Between 9000 and 12’000... sounds like guns save WAYYYYYYYY more lives than they take .. :( facts don’t care about feelings

What is "infringement"? Screw all your gun control laws. If you want to pass a "common sense gun control law" make it a MANDATORY thirty year sentence to steal a firearm.
@seansturghill47457 жыл бұрын
common sense would imply that half the people screaming about gun control actually knew about firearms.

This fricking pisses me off. Being a person who doesn't particularly like guns, but a person who doesnt think they should be banned and still enjoys shooting them, I hate it when other people fail to obey the law. By performing these actions, public support is turned against all gun owners, and gun laws are put in place. If these people love guns so much, obey the fucking law.

Turned them over to the CNN security team, ha. I guess the security team got to bring home some fun toys that day, unless they resold them to someone.

Standard view of gun nuts. Toys are they? So let kids have them
@Jesses00110 жыл бұрын
Shiprex Yes, just like a jet ski is a toy. To be honest though, most of my weapons are for killing humans.
@Shiprex10 жыл бұрын
Yeah Well that's their purpose and people who desire to amass large quantities of killing material are regarded as paranoid and psychotic. Is this the true American psyche? Maybe one day you're country will evolve an get over it's past. I think most of the first Americans have buried the hatchet and want to move on.
@Jesses00110 жыл бұрын
Shiprex Buried the hatchet and want to move on? What do you mean? What would we be moving on from? Do you know why civilians are well armed in the US?
@Shiprex10 жыл бұрын
In answer to your last question. Paranoia, love of lethal weapons, lack of respect for each other and community, irrational fear of each other, lack of faith in each other or authorities, belief they have the right to act as judge, jury and executioner in everyday life, desire to be a saviour in the unlikely event they can ever out draw someone intent on causing harm with a firearm. Some may say or believe it's to make you safer but the numbers tell a different story. Americans are MORE at risk of death than almost every developed country. Second last from being a violent and distrustful society with a greater love for lethal instruments than of community Your second question, Native Americans have come to accept the immigrants from overseas and because they don't have the means to send them back they have gone for acceptance and assimilation. You place a question mark at the end of a sentence that is not a question
