I like the idea of ResolveShare. I was wondering if there is also room for Python scripts and Workflow extensions? I know this is a topic rarely talked about in the Resolve community (at least on KZbin), but being able to run Python scripts to import, edit or export is a pretty unique thing to Resolve I would say. IIRC you could also run Resolve without a graphical user interface and still make it do a lot of things through scripts. I don’t have anything to share myself right now. But maybe in the future.

Hi Casey, just wanted to let you know that Norton has flagged your shop as an e-shop scam. Might want to contact them to get it sorted.

Hey Casey! Thanks for all of your hard work and teaching us a ton of things. Something that would be helpful on resolveshare would be a link to, or the actual video tutorial on how to use the plugin. Thanks again!!

Can you do a tutorial on how to align text in Resolve? Kinda how AE you can align text to composition to layers?
@matthewhartman717625 күн бұрын
To my knowledge, there currently is no snap to align toolset in Resolve. A workround is to know your X,Y,Z pixel coordinate values based on your timeline aspect ratio. Simple math. Not that I wouldn't welcome BMD adding this. They have a history of building cool stuff, but sometimes at the cost of fundamental basic stuff, and this stuff can be forgotten for many foreseeable version updates. Perhaps there's a plugin out there in the wild.

ZDF Studios, a German production company has a number of docs licensed to some channels here on YT. There is a series called The Abyss on the Criminals and Crimefighters channel that I have watched hundreds of times. I would like to know how they did the intro where the black ink merges with the paper and image. I contacted the studios, but they wouldn't tell me.

This is a great tip Casey. Thank you. I was wondering if you could explain how to make the mask stick. By that I mean, with the method you used in this video, it works well with static text. But if you animate the text, the mask does not move with text. How would you make the mask stick to the text so the erosion moves with the text? (Or if anyone else knows how to make that happen, I would appreciate an explanation).
@RisingOne2See27 күн бұрын
Never mind. I figured it out. For the mask to stick it is important that the animation for the text does not happen in the text node. Instead add a transform node after the text node and animate the text with the transform node and the mask will stick.

You're literally learning trade tips and secrets from someone else as you accuse that someone else sharing their knowledge with you as some sort of flawed character. Casey is Casey. You are you. We learn some things on our own, through our own trial and error, and other times we show intelligence and learn from other's trial and error. You'll be okay.
