Great design, simple build and compact compared to others out there. Ability to fold and store is great. My material cost was $14. Using the miter saw and setting at a 15 degree cut sped things up. Thank you.

So great to hear. Thanks for sharing. Yes a miter saw would definitely make it a lot easier. 👍

Would a motor with a doel fin have enough clearance between the struts?
@5thdayadventures11 күн бұрын
@@chrisjohnson2043 maybe as its designed its 18” between the uprights. You could always make it wider by simply increasing the width of the cross pieces.

A modification would be cool to allow the motor to be in a large trashcan of water for running / working on them. For just having a place to put one, this is perfect.
@5thdayadventures6 ай бұрын
That would be a cool addon. I usually run my stuff off a hose though that's not always the easiest with these little motors. Thanks for sharing!

Great design...ive always got a couple outboards im working on... never enough space. Have you seen the price of the small outboard stands? Hard to find under $100 Thanks
@5thdayadventures5 ай бұрын
For sure, for the price of one of those you could build 5 or more of these! Thanks! 😄

Nice! Thank you for this. Would it hold a 40hp outboard?
@5thdayadventures7 ай бұрын
I think it would be fine. I weigh 160lbs and it holds me + a 25hp that weighs between 90-100lbs at the same time with no problems. You could always upgrade the hardware and add some angled bracing if you want to make sure ultimately its up to you though. Thanks for watching let me know if it works for you👍

I won’t even work for a bigger motor like a little €50.42 stroke
@5thdayadventures4 ай бұрын
Are you asking if it will work on large outboards? If so i don’t know that i would put anything too big on it. Thats at your own discretion. I’ve put about 300 lbs on one and had no problems anything more than that i’m not sure
