Easy How To: Replace BMW E46 M3 Engine Mounts

My husbands is broken for no reason lol! BMW is like 2400 i'm handy so it's like we have to figure this out for ourselves. Hopefully I can do it.

You got this! Patience is the key. You will need to lift the engine some, I believe for the passenger side. Make sure you have lots of extensions and you will be done in no time. Let me know how it went! Thanks for watching! - Tom

Did you unbolt the wishbone bushings from the chassis to lower the front subframe for the right side? I think it is neccesary right? Another option could be unbolt the right engine mount bracket while you maintain the engine lifted from the ac compressor with the piece of wood…

Hey!! Sorry for the delayed response. Yes, I believe i raised the engine slightly and that’s how I replaced it. Thanks for watching.

@@thedriversapex thank you I finally did the job but without the front subframe removal… I removed the right mount engine bracket as I should replace it because it was broken… so once the bracket is removed there was enough space to replace the right engine mount too...💪💪

Hello! That’s disappointing. I reviewed to video to better understand your comment. What would have helped? I’ll be replacing rod bearings in two weeks and typically one would replace their mounts then as well. Let me know what you would like to have seen so that I can address it in that video. Thanks! Tom
