Fantastic upload,love this as it takes me back to the time when I worked for Howard Johnson's Motor Lodges in the 70s-80s and we had this type of music in our lobby/registration area.Fond Memories!

RCA really tried to make this format work, it had limited use as a sound source for slide show presentations. The left channel was used for tones that would trigger the slide change, and of course the other channel carried the program sound. This one sounds very good, low wow and flutter. Thanks for posting!

At 29:22... Its nice to hear that those female vocalists were able to find work outside of Star Trek TOS.

Thanks for the post ! 👍 It is so great to hear this type of music and relax and forget about some of the current "events" that are happening in the World.

That is one big cassette in your hands there, man. My Maxell XLII 90s are gonna be envious, lol. Thanks for the easy listening sounds.

I would comment, but this is just bliss. I miss easy listening FM-sterero. As a radio nerd I introduced him to this.

The RCA system had so much potential. It's a shame that it never panned out. The market it was aimed for just didn't exist yet - home recording.

Awesome music..Did NOT think these large cassettes were ever used for commercial use...Only saw a prototype years ago before it went into production..

When the first song played I visualized a mature white woman with high cheek bones directing her upright vacuum with one finger.

Greetings, love your channel. How did you convert records and tape to digital format and is is wave or mp3? Thanks.
@Fardemark2 жыл бұрын
Used Wav file format and exported it from audacity and used iMovie for editing the video portions

Thanks. I really enjoy the music on this channel. Takes me back in time especially the retro gear on camera. The Seeburg 1000 stuff is also very interesting. I was born in 1963 and I never knew (until now, thanks to you) how the stores, elevators, etc. would play continuous "background" music, which is ironic to call it that because the studio musicians, sound engineers and producers in those days were simply incredible! Anyway, thanks for transporting us to a wonderful time and atmosphere that we miss so much. Cheers from California! 👍👍
