Instructions:
First, brush off your shoes to remove any big pieces of debris.
Depends on your shoe size and preference for paste volume, my shoes are UK size 10 and as such I mixed about 30-50ml of baking soda, 30-50ml of water, and 30-50ml of hydrogen peroxide (all in equal amount) into a mixing bowl until it becomes an even paste.
De-lace the shoes if you have one, and gently brush the mixture onto the surface (you don’t need to press hard, just enough to brush away the surface dirt, and work the mixture into the surface).
Add another coat by lightly painting it evenly over the shoe.
Add the laces to the remaining mixture, and stir them in. - I did not demonstrate this in my video because my shoe laces are not easy to remove.
Here comes the sun! Place both your shoes and laces outside in bright sunlight. (The sun helps the mixture work to turn the shoes bright white again. Direct sunlight preferred. The brighter and hotter the day the better!
Leave them out for 3-4 hours, or until the mixture is dry and cracking off.
Clapping the shoes together removes most of the mixture, but you will need to go back in with a brush to get everything off. The shoes should be several shades lighter.
Note: It will be easier to use a smaller bowl to mix the paste. Any shoes with size smaller than UK 10 will probably need only 10-30ml each of the above content. The application can get messy so please find a good spot to clean and clap your shoes!
