This is the complete trail review and guide for "Jackrabbit Trail" near Victorville, CA. We take you through every difficult spot, every rut, and every turn on the trail starting from Old Route 66 through the hills toward Interstate 15, then through the mining area and back toward Helendale, finishing a few miles east of where we started.
If you have never done the Jack Rabbit off-road Jeep trail this video will show you what you have to look forward to and shows you all the rough areas, and the dangerous spots on the trail.
Jackrabbit trail is about 25 miles long, and is a "beginner" or easy 4x4 trail that any stock Jeep or 4x4 truck can do - but there are some spots to be careful of.

I did this trail on my 2WD 2018 f150 before watching this vid and yes he’s right.If you’re a beginner then it’s a big no. If you’re experienced, you can find yourself around the little bits of difficult spots with a 2WD vehicle. Other than that don’t try it with a 2WD... my friends subí wagon outback did it in 2WD and 4 low in a few hills so it can be managed...

@@TheNotaRubicon Very nice setup, very informative video for beginners. I don't wheel in CA, since I live in AZ but your videos are excellent and I like watching them. When I trail lead I need to be more like you and give out as much information as possible to my group because you never know everybody's experience levels when leading a trail ride. I just bought a 2020 wrangler willys, stock 32" mud terrain tires, no lockers, no sway bar quick disconnect. I am going to hit this trail up with my other jeep beginner buddy and am pretty sure we will avoid dead bunny hill. My question is regarding that last steep incline that you mentioned we might need lockers for. Is there a bypass for that hill because neither of us have lockers. Thanks.
@TheNotaRubicon

When you encounter shooters, are they typically watching out for approaching off-road traffic or making sure they aren’t shooting in your direction? I have no problems with firearms (retired LEO), just idiots who don’t play safely.
