Liking recipes-especially whole food ones, instead of the standard "low carb" recipes I'm seeing on youtube. Simple is always better, too. Does it need to be smoked salmon? I'm hoping I can sous vide some sockeye salmon and use that. Also, I didn't see amounts for an amount for that or the goat cheese. Oh, yeah, and I think it wants some avocado and garlic. 😉 FWIW, I've made a whole lot of similar omelets, though I've got to find some goat cheese I can stand. They've always had cow cheeses. I found the goat cheese I got at Costco unpalatable (sour.)

Love the science plus cooking !!! Great job Thomas. I really want to love goat cheese, but I still can’t get passed the smell and texture. I’m a keto work in progress ❤️ I think ai would add some cooked spinach to mask some of that turmeric and goat cheese. Would that be ok? Hope your wife and family are doing well.
@CarbageMan4 жыл бұрын
@@metoo3705 Spinach shouldn't hurt. I've made similar omelets with spinach. I usually sauté it before making the omelet-the mushrooms, too. FWIW, I've used Kerrygold Dubliner, Rumiano organic white cheddar, and other cheeses in the past.

(didn't have any) I feel better, it holds me over longer, my boxing workout was better, and my sinuses cleared up almost instantly after eating. So Thanks so much! It makes me feel amazing. I have no problem eating this every day for breakfast. I'd love to see lunch and dinner in this format.

I mix alot of turmeric and a dash of pepper into my eggs >before< I cook them (more consistent flavor), then in the pan goes ghee + ex-virg-olive oil some chopped asparagus (or spinach or mushrooms depending on what I have in the fridge at the time) to saute for a minute or two, then in with the eggs, cover to mostly cook the eggs, then on with the smoked salmon and goat cheese then fold omelette and cover for one minute and onto a plate - done! Delicious, quick and easy!

Just made this omelette and it was delicious. Had frozen sockeye salmon so I used red sockeye in a can which I had. In fact, a USDA study found slightly higher levels of two omega-3s in canned pink and red salmon than it found in fresh. Canned salmon has other merits, too.

Hey Thomas. Been watching you for a long time. Once I got past the early stages of Keto, it's hard to find content that resonates with me on the science. While I love it, it often doesn't translate into me changing anything in my approach to Keto. This new applied approach that you did with this video brought it closer to home. I still ge the science, but there is a more immediate application. Also, since it's food, I can quickly see how I could apply it to variations of what you presented. Please do more of these!
